I had thought Mills would go tonight. It really doesn't matter. All righties are Bob Gibson and all lefties are Sandy Koufax. Well, Gibson is dead and Koufax is around 85, so we may have a shot. We make every pitching staff "look good." Casey used to say stuff like that, when we weren't scoring any runs. I miss him. |

Nearly unwatchable. It's been a long time since I felt that way about a Beaver Baseball game. Abel pitch count over 95 and still in the 5th inning.

No, KA is not the same. Doesn't seem to have that "it" on his FB. Leaves the Ball up and is getting behind. However when we can't hit..........

Able is struggling again. He is really not the same pitcher. He still gets a lot of strikeouts but he also lets a lot of hitters reach base. At some point the coaches are going to have to rethink him as the Friday starter. Again tonight he is chased in the 5th. He really can only do about 4 innings. Most of the damage is in the 5th.

It’s unacceptable that a guy calling an NCAA D-I game doesn’t know the difference between a double and a single + advance on the throw.
It’s not even acceptable for some sophomore scoring the JV HS game.
How is Jon the best we can get as a fill-in?

White is throwing a Perfect Game. We have hit 3 fly balls. Our normal strike out quota. Hope I don't screw up the WSU Pitcher. LOL

We either move Able back to Sunday or we pull him after 4 innings.

How can anybody be “the same pitcher” as the guy who heroically finished game 2 and dominated game 3 of the college World Series? He doesn’t have the same team behind him. I think it’s a lot easier batting when you’ve got a lead on a frightfully cold hitting team. If I were a Wazzu player, I would be aggressive at the plate. Why not? The game has a lot of nuance. |

Really bad announcing doesn’t grate as bad when you’re playing well. |
