CTT wasn't being vague at all. She mentioned UV specifically and then mentioned coaches recruiting players during the season. I think if she knew anything about a Pac-12 coach she would have said it. Mentioned UVa and their coach specifically because they are focusing on the transfer pool rather than high school recruits. I don't think CTT alleged any misconduct.

True, and I apologize that it did seem like I implied that.

But, she ‘implied’ she was aware of some funny business . That is EXACTLY , how things get rolling ! The USC situation versus WBB @ Gill , started with OSU players making racist comments ( Minyon Moore , et al ). By the time it HAD to be investigated, and the facts came out - it was ONE FAN that was doing so, and they were banned from all future attendance ! NONE of our players were involved , but … I do remember that. It was Kristen Simon that made the allegation, but Moore tweeted about it, then all the media outlets ran with it. The tweet was taken down within minutes, but the damage to OSU's reputation was already done. The one fan was determined to be inappropriate, but not racist. So the original claim was completely bogus. Wasn't that the same game where Simon had a ridiculous cheap shot foul against Tudor that absolutely looked like a deliberate attempt to cause an injury? USC never apologized for false allegations, and the media never ran any retractions to the story IIRC.

Well, your post is by far the best recap - because you included some important details that I had forgotten over time. I even went back in time to the original situation - but , it appears to have been ‘scrubbed’ One other detail, that was reported, was that those same two USC players were claiming that someone from the OSU team, actually went partway into the SC locker room and yelled racist comments ! That ended up being vehemently denied by OSU and ( I believe ), their security team. Definitely an ugly set of actions by the OSU fan and a couple of the SC players in 2018 !

The thing that was most telling was that USC didn't take their players' side and were happy to just see it dropped. I don't think any harm was done to Tudor by Simon, nor do I think there was any intent. Simon was a skilled, physical and tough-looking player and some OSU fans seemed to have a problem with that. I actually liked her game.

I remember the USC player interviewed after the game talking about how OSU thought they had the best fans, but this proved they didn't. Stuff like that. I don't remember any allegations regarding any of our players or staff.

Tweets that the accusing player did not stand behind and took down the following morning.

The fan that created the issue was seated Courtside near the radio announcer. It was the recording of the game that proved who it was and that the comments were not racist. That fan was unable to attend the next two games, they were not kicked out permanently. Not only that but it was an elderly lady accused of it.
Simon has fought depression and anxiety disorders and she did not feel she had a good game. Her accusation was a product of her mental illnesses in response to usc basically being eliminated from any chance at the ncaa tournament. At first she blamed someone in section ff, I know because some friends sit there and they were asked to stay after the game and if they heard anything, they hadn't.
Briefly there was an accusation that an OSU player or staff shouted inappropriate things into the usc locker room. Once again it was proved to be a false accusation.
All in all it was an ugly game, usc was playing rugby and not basketball, that had an even uglier final outcome. The OSU staff, players, and fans were given a black eye for no reason. The accusation was picked up by the news and even when it was proved to be a false accusation there was never a retraction.

But she did foul out with about 2 minutes left in the game. IIRC it was Senior Night with Marie Gulich graduating. Marie had a terrific game, with 25 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals and 3 assists. She basically dominated and frustrated Simon head-to-head. www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/400994517Amazing to realize it's already 3+ years ago.

Her stats were decent but being dominated and losing any chance of making the tournament overshadowed them. I'm not spreading any rumors about her mental status, there was a special on the pac12 network about them. Just like on many of her losses she tends to act out of frustration, the cheap shot on Kat is just one example. She had a history of acting out on the court. bvrbooster is correct in there was an interview that was a direct jab at us fans. He hads a good memory.

It was Moore. I don't think Simon gave an interview that night.

I don't think OSU's (fan) reputation was damaged by the incident. Simon fouled out, earning them all and more, and there were plenty of fans hot with how physical they were allowed to play.
USC is lucky to get 1000 people to a WBB home game. Now that's an earned fan reputation that does damage.

Anyone but CTT and it might be believable and require some action . She may get fined by the PAC 12 if there is nothing to it - so she is taking a big risk ! I don’t know what they would fine her for, she doesn’t name names and doesn’t even say that it’s going on in the PAC-12. I guess it' missed it too in regards to the P-12. She did not say much of anything except she is just an old school coach. But then she talks about transfers coming in.

It was Moore. I don't think Simon gave an interview that night. OK I missed that. I know it’s pretty unusual for the Pac-12 network to do a postgame interview with a player on the losing team. But I’ll take your word for it.
