I don't see any mention of Teagen Mallegni in the ESPN Top 60 class of 2024. She must be a major prospect in Rueck's mind for him to make the PR move to symbolically check her out on her team's first day of practice....
Maybe he has made inroads in Wisconsin high school circles with the signing of Hansford..... GO BEAVS!!

I believe ASGR currently has her at No. 16 overall. Oregon and many of the Big 10 schools will likely be major contenders for her. Here's some highlight film against good competition: Gets to the line well, smooth stroke, good instincts, crafty.

I’m not certain, but it appears Delaney Gibb may be in Corvallis for an unofficial visit this weekend.
I assume it’ll be difficult to get her away from BYU. She’s LDS, has spent time living in Utah (though currently lives in Alberta), and played AAU for BYU HC Amber Whiting and with her daughter Amari.
She’s the type of natural scorer OSU could use.

She handles the ball like she was born with it. Outstanding court vision. A sharpshooter. Very, very impressive. She was born with one ball? troll

It's good news that she, at least, is in town for a visit. That is a tribute to Coach and the OSU program...Delaney, I believe, lives in Raymond, Alberta....It is a small town whose citizenry has a large concentration of Mormons. They love basketball and have a rich and storied tradition of basketball excellence at the h.s. level... Viewing from a distance, I can completely believe that she and her family would evaluate Rueck's program, and the city of Corvallis, quite favorably. Thanks for the update beaverwbb fan - - you always deliver interesting items of information..... GO BEAVS!!

Maybe it's a long game approach - not expecting her to commit while in high school, but when she enters the portal . . .

bvrbooster - - I think in today's recruiting world this is no longer considered "long game" approach.....Anticipating the distant portal is part of the immediate recruiting package..... "Now that you know us, remember to come back when you need us".... Not in exactly those words, but the idea behind it is certainly part of the recruiting message.... I don't think it is a coincidence that both of the portal guards the Beavs brought in this year were recruited first-hand by Rueck during their h.s. years....
The 4 or 5 year commitment of previous years is now a 1 or 2 year commitment. GO BEAVS!!

List of (confirmed) 2024 recruits the staff went to see during the fall: - Shay Ijiwoye - Teagan Mallegni - Britt Prince - Jordan Lee - Morgan Cheli - Mikayla Blakes
A lot of schools don't share what coaches/teams attended workouts, but those are the players of schools who confirmed OSU was in attendance.

Katie Fiso recently took an unofficial to OSU.
She's an elite point guard with a great feel for the game. She has the "it" factor and plays with a confidence and swagger to her. I like that she's a PNW kid too.
