If people don't want to come to the ballpark, how are you going to stop them?

None with anywhere near a quarter of 100% attendance. AT&T Stadium was at 40% capacity. For which game? The Rose Bowl and the Big 12 championship only allowed 18,700....not 40%. The last Cowboy game only allowed 21,708 (22%)

And weren’t the rates of Covid cases particularly high in those places? Hmmm. Makes you think. Yea, I don't know.....were they? I dont recall hearing that sporting events with fans have been an issue. Although I admit I'm not seeking out the info. Let me see if I understand this correctly....You’re not actively looking for information on the virus, the transmission, the hospitalizations, or even which states are succeeding, but you still don’t want to follow the rules set forth by those who are doing exactly this? Why?

I think early on, when the models were released(from u dub I believe)that showed crazy exponential growth, that freaked everyone out, were proven to be wrong, and everything got crazy political, I checked out, honestly. when businesses that should be allowed to be open with safety measures aren't allowed to. public schools furloughing employees to save money and those employees were eligible for the $600 weekly fed unemployment....crazy still getting a paycheck and getting the $600 immediately....meanwhile, people in service industry can't get their unemployment checks. and our governor ignoring Oregon State vet school trying to help early on with testing And can we trust any of the numbers we're getting? I mean Cuomo, the darling of the media, was outright lying about the numbers! But it's no big deal.... It goes on and on....so yea I'm not really paying attention cuz I have more pressing issues with my family....and I'm still not sure why parents can't go watch their kid play football or we cant go to Goss, safely.....I guess it's CYA policy at the end of the day....we live in a world where people will sue for anything and everything, so I get it to a point....we can't have nice things

With limited capacity, all indications are it should work. Why are "First Reponders and the Heros of the pandemic" at so many entertainment venues? The stance of:
I don't think it is a good idea. I won't/wouldn't go therefore NOONE should go is the slope we are on. The "My beliefs/opinions/preferences (insert preferred term here) are not only mine, but will be instilled on you" is the pervasive stance with most of America now.
It is also what I believe is becoming our undoing.

The numbers that politicians may offer are uninteresting to me. Instead, I look at Johns Hopkins’ numbers, which have been above reproach all along. And I listen to what a majority of doctors and researchers say. A couple of weeks ago, I posted information that my son had received from OHSU where he is a med student. The gist of the communique was that they expect an uptick in infections from the SARS-Covid-2 variant from mid-March through April, depending upon the number of vaccines and the public’s adherence to safety measures. Of course, this is a prediction, and there have been warnings repeated in the media that we can’t ease our guard just because the numbers are falling now with the vaccines. Now, the politicians need to understand and access this information and make policy. If we look at Oregon, this state has turned out to be one of the safest during the whole pandemic. But, as you mentioned, there are other problems that the politicians have failed to solve, such as unemployment and such. Parents not being able to watch their kids play football really bugs me. Oh, poor parents! Really? How about the parents who can’t attend their kid’s wedding? Or the parents who can’t be at the birth of their first grandchild? Or the kid who can’t be there for his father when his father dies? Football? Really? How about the parents of kids who play other sports whose kids can’t play because football was somehow seen to be safer than, say, cross country?

So you think people who want you to follow Covid safety protocols are only doing so because it’s their preference and they are forcing their beliefs on you? Can you explain what you mean by beliefs? To me, the word is tied closely with religion. We tend to believe in things that cannot be seen, enumerated, or are abstract ideas. What beliefs are being forced upon you? Also, if the country coming together in agreement of a set of beliefs, opinions, or preference will unravel this country, then what can keep it together? Divisiveness? Divided we stand?

That's what it was....an example. You don't have to convince me of the hypocricy. I used football as my example because I know some folks whose kid is playing in high school and they've got younger children as well.....in their household its just another stressor to add on to the pile.....I'm talking about mental health here.....I know people who are struggling....hell, I'm struggling! Having school aged children is hard enough in this crazy world......and I get the idea there could be a spike. more people have died in Draconian lockdown Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island.
Gee, I wonder why? Could it be that those states have 1, large urban areas, where the population density is much higher per square mile than anywhere in the Dakotas, thus making the virus exponentially easier to spread; 2, far, far more people than the Dakotas, in much smaller states, or maybe both?
The Dakotas probably would have been fine had they decided to take some, if any action prior or during Sturgis.
And most Americans would have never heard of the play "Our American Cousin" except for one small oversight.
History isn't going to look kindly on Covid deniers, minimizing the worst public health disaster in this country in more than a century.
The Johns Hopkins COVID Tracking Project shows right now the positivity rate in Texas is at 13.5%. That percentage is higher than what it was on Oct. 7, when Gov. Abbott issued his COVID-19 restrictions orders. Texas leadership, it's great.

Oh yea, there isn't one.
