They just showed some highlights of yesterday's big games during the halftime of the Stanford-Arizona game on ESPN2. Somehow they showed more highlights of UCLA scoring than Oregon St. Really lame.

One thing I noticed while watching the game. Taya did play excellent defense against Onyenwere. There were several times when she got a fairly deep catch, but Taya took away her first move and made her take much tougher shots than she wanted to. She made a mistake at the end of the half, but all in all she played a good game defensively.

Sasha's D effort was also huge as has been mentioned. Of course, the other players stepping up for the scoring is necessary, but they delivered.

Totally agree - she was very disruptive along with with everyone else on the floor challenging each shot and passing lane. The reason they had a bad shooting per- cent ( UCLA ), was because they did not get many totally clear shots or space to set their feet !

We were 2-7 playing @ucla going into that game in the last decade (didn't play there 1 year), with some of our ugliest losses of the season being played @pauley. This is also one of the best teams they've had during that stretch. For a must-win game, that was a really big ask, and they came through.

FWIW I don't think there are any "trolls" around our board, maybe some negative Nellie's but not really trolls. We occasionally have some schmucks who post but they are easy to identify.

Well, Scott has managed it 3 times while at OSU, but I can't imagine there are many other coaches that have done it ...

Something I haven't seen mentioned. UCLA hit all 17 FT's in the game while the Beav's missed 4 or so open layups. Also Aleah missed two open 3's, something she rarely does. In some ways UCLA played about as well as they could and the Beav's really could have played better. Even more hope for the future.

I think it was more about our defense rather than a few missed shots ! UCLA was never able to get a clean shot- but we got many lay ups and enough mid range and threes to put them into panic mode !

At the same time, UCLA hit 10 of 22 3pt shots against Oregon, but only 5 of 22 against the Beavs. As much as I would love to think it was all defense, there were several open shots missed. Still agreeing with what you are saying here......

Hmm...maybe OSU's defense was pretty good in this one. The previous game UCLA torched Oregon, tonight they absolutely destroyed USC (I know, USC has rolled over and played dead 3 games in a row...). 93-51 final, Bruins shoot an insane 16-23 behind the arc.
