Talia is definately eating into Savanah's court time and had a great game. Aleah's shot just before the end of the 1st quarter was almost 3/4 court and should make someone's highlight list for plays of the day. Simmons just refuses to play any offense and Taya needs to contribute much more. Beavs played the quintessential CR game with a strong inside outside game, lots of ball movement, and good defense to hold down USC's shooting. Staking a claim for Freshperson of the year. TVO an SG possibly for the All Pac-12 Freshpeople Team, though SG has struggled of late. Or Washington HS player if the year.

Or Washington HS player if the year. If she's not playing HS ball she's not eligible for Washington HS player of the year. On somewhat of a similar note, I am surprised that she and the others who enrolled early are up for the McDonald's All American game (which isn't happening anyways).

Especially in the first quarter we really did a nice job of hitting the roller on the pick and roll. I know that will make some folks on the board happy.

based on the last few games, I am excited to see how the last few games play out. UCLA will be tough..uo is sinking fast...while we are on the rise... UCLA smoked tsdtr today. Nice to see. Hopefully that's the Bruins good game for the weekend.

It would be good to get a shot against. UCLA. THEY ARE a much improved team and have some height now. Aleah should not be PG. BUT NOONE ELSE REALLY CAN EITHER. THIS WILL BE AN ACHILLES HEAL FOR US. TAYLOR DOESNT HAVE A BASIC DROP STEP TO THE BASKET EITHER HAND.BUT MANY OF THE POSTS PLAYING THIS YEAR CANT MANUFACTURE ONE EITHER. MY DAD COACHED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FROM 1956 THRU 1972. HE RARELY HAD A LEGIT POST PLAYER. MOSTLY WINGS AND GUYS 6'3 AND 4.WE HAD A NICE PAVED DRIVE WAY GROWING UP WITH A HOOP. I REMEMBER HOW MANY TIME MY DAD USED OUR BASKET TO HAVE HIS POST PLAYERS COME OVER AND DEVELOPE THE THREE BASIC POST MOVES. IT TAKES TIME AND HE PUT IT IN WITH THOSE KIDS. FUN WATCHING OUR GIRLS BEAT USC I THOUGHT WE HAD A LEGITIMATE CHANCE. GOOD JOB GIRLS.OREGON HAS TURNED OUT TO BE REALLY MISSING THAT IDENTITY WHO CAUSES GREATNESS LIKE THEY HAD IN THEIR OOINT GUARD. NOW STANFORD HAS TWO LEGIT FRESHMAN THAT ARE HUGE DIFFERENCE MAKERS.

I thought the difference today was our perimeter players switching on defense. There was a clear effort to switch on the perimeter players, and, it worked well. I hope OSU continues because we seem to have a difficult time anticipating a screen, and, fighting through the screen. Our perimeter defenders communicated well today. I also enjoyed that when the ball went into the post, OSU guards/wings double teamed quickly.

TvO WOW! She is already amazing. It is the little things that show how good she is. Her passing is on a whole different level. She makes everybody better.

Thanks for posting this. Great interview. It turns out that Coach Rueck actually had noticed some shortcomings on defense. I'm sure he was grateful for the great help in noticing this from the board. Once again it's worth noting that we're at about the half-way point in games for a regular season. I like where the team is headed in entering the season with two returning starters. It's too bad it won't get a full second half of the season worth of games.

We're only 13 games into the season and with Covid,I'm not sure the masses know how hard it has been for a team with so many newcomers become cohesive like we have seen typical Scott Rueck teams become. Teams with lots of vets coming back had a huge advantage this year. Team defense and rebounding have been strengths of our past teams, and team defense and rebounding takes time and practice...something that has been so inconsistent this season. Talia,Sasha,Ellie,Samuel, and others had to become key players after Mic graduated and Slocum left late. They are all in mid season form, with only two regular season games to go...
That being said,if Aleah returns and we add Kampschroeder and a healthy Brown, this team could be very special in the next few years. Talia,Sasha, and Aleah are very good players, and Kampschroeder,Brown,Jones,Samuel,Mitrovic, and any other returnees will be a year better next season...The conference is tough, but osu will be right there with the top teams if we are healthy and have a full 2021-2022 season with fans in the stands. Hope it happens...

This was the first game that showed what Mack can do, if she can continue to build on it she could be instrumental in the upcoming games.

This was the first game that showed what Mack can do, if she can continue to build on it she could be instrumental in the upcoming games. She had 15 on 6-7 shooting and 3-3 behind the arc against Colorado 3 weeks ago and 12 on 4-7 and 3-4 from distance the game before that against UW. She's been reasonably productive lately.
