At no point in her career, until this year, was Goodman a full-time starter. Before this year, she had started only 21 of her 97 career games. Lots of experience? Yes. But a returning, full-time starter? No. And Taylor Mikesell was a full-time, two-year starter for Maryland before transferring to UO. So she may be a first-time starter at UO, but she certainly is not a "new starter" and had plenty of practice time to adjust to her new team. SO I guess Taylor Mikesell had more time and experience with UO than Aleah adjusting to a starter role with OSU. So we will give Aleah that break if she has bad game then. I give every player a break if they have a bad game. Guess I'm not as demanding as you are.

I agree with that, of course it plays out in every aspect of life , not just sports. My personal bests, in both basketball and baseball, happened on days that I was sick. I don't know how to explain that, but have heard that has also happened with others . Is it the fact that you are so relaxed physically and mentally that you are just running on muscle memory ? Relaxed may not be the right word, maybe just not able to overthink the situation! At any rate, it is quite interesting to see the way different athletes react to pressure situations and the fact that , no matter what level, failure is just as frequent as success .
