They'll probably rely heavily on outside shooting as Western Montana did. They'd need to shoot lights out, cause they're unlikely to snag too many offensive rebounds or be able to drive the lane - attempting to post us up would be folly as well. Meanwhile, on our end, Taylor and Jelena should combine for 30 or more again. I hope they've already left San Francisco and are playing elsewhere. They could easily follow Santa Clara's lead and shut them down. They went 9-17 on 3s vs. UC Davis, so they do have shooters. They are predicted to finish 10th in the West Coast Athletic conference.
The West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches' poll was less than flattering. The Dons, who finished ninth last year in the WCC in an injury riddled season, were picked to finish 10th. Moreover, the Dons did not have any players listed on the annual preseason all-conference team.

Beavs are not going beat many teams playing this poorly. No defense on the 3 pointers, getting outrebounded too. Beavs getting double teamed in the post and not finding the open shooter, and when they do, they miss. Leaving shooters open by not closing quickly enough. Beavs not using their height advantage either. Not very impressive freethrow shooting, again. What do these gals practice at during practice? They better show up in the second half.

That was a very poor first half on our part. Terrible shooting, bad defense , out rebounded, not aggressive, leaving wide open shooters at the 3 point line. I am very unimpressed by our bigs except Jones. And as much as I like Goodman she is not a point guard or at least a starting PG. Simmons should be playing more and Mack ....not sure! Lets come out playing hard nose D and be more aggressive on the boards. Scott has his work cut out for him. Really hurt losing Destiny.

It's been ugly so far, maybe they come back and play like the FB team in the 2nd half?? They won't beat any PAC12 teams playing like this, so it better improve a lot... |
