Apparently more athletic than I expected. Impressive bounce, especially coming off an ACL tear.

Also, you see no scars on her knees (whereas you can Google Adlee Blacklock and find an article where she is pictured with a very obvious scar on the injured knee). I take this as just being encouragement for her recovery. There is an earlier post on the same site (#hardwoodelite) where she touches the rim from 2019.

That was 10 months ago. 10 months is not enough time to recover? Furthermore, in this clip she is wearing a face mask. When did folks start wearing face masks, even when practicing basketball? Late March or April 2020 maybe, at the very earliest. So, for your assertion to be correct this clip would have to have been made just days or no more than a week or two before her ACL tear. That is a pretty narrow window.

Even if she did risk it, wouldn't she be wearing a brace? Seems doubtful to me that this was post-injury.

Really - arguing about if/when surgery vs. face masks vs. front to back scar.... reputable accounts posted this, why the doubt?? Continued healing and recovery should be the (our) focus. Go BEAVS!

Possible? Yes. Certain? No. For the reason stated... 1) It can be interpreted as encouragement for her recovery, 2) she is engaging it a risky activity with no knee brace on, despite only being at the average recovery time. Also this: an article from less than a week ago stating "the Eagles are playing the season without junior power forward and Oregon State pledge Raegan Beers, who is rehabbing from an ACL injury". If she has recovered to the point where she is feeling comfortable dunking, why isn't she playing with her team? I want to believe she is that well recovered too, but my desire does not drive my beliefs. I think there is reasonable doubt. The source of the video is reputable, but there is no way to know the date of the footage without the source informing us.

That's bizarre. Because the ACL is behind the Patella and accessed better from the rear. It could also be that Beers' surgeon did the repair arthroscopically. There's also the nature and extent of the tear which would dictate whether or not an open surgery was necessary. Did Blacklock also damage the Patellar tendon too? That would explain the large open incession. If Beers did have an arthroscopic repair, she would recover much more quickly. She would be healing much less muscle damage.

Yes, a more minor tear and arthroscopic surgery could explain the Beers video, however it still would make me nervous with her trying to dunk at 10 months out with no extra support on that knee. Hope she is not pushing too hard trying to rejoin her team this season.

What she shows on the video does not include major lateral stressors.

ACL surgery is from the front. The surgery is arthroscopic, but not easy. Generally there is no "scar," in the traditional sense, but 3 or 4 holes where the surgical implements were inserted, and a slight scar along the hamstring, where muscle was harvested to act as the new ACL (use of cadaver material is highly discouraged, for a number of reasons).
I've never seen an ACL surgery scar like Blalock's. That looks more like a joint replacement surgery scar.
Recovery rate varies. Playing in less than a year (IMHO) is pushing it; Kat Tudor was clearly not 100% last year. Probably 18-24 months for complete physical and mental recovery. A torn ACL is a serious injury.
