ACL surgery is from the front. The surgery is arthroscopic, but not easy. Generally there is no "scar," in the traditional sense, but 3 or 4 holes where the surgical implements were inserted, and a slight scar along the hamstring, where muscle was harvested to act as the new ACL (use of cadaver material is highly discouraged, for a number of reasons). I've never seen an ACL surgery scar like Blalock's. That looks more like a joint replacement surgery scar. Recovery rate varies. Playing in less than a year (IMHO) is pushing it; Kat Tudor was clearly not 100% last year. Probably 18-24 months for complete physical and mental recovery. A torn ACL is a serious injury. The portals created for access to the ACL are located -- one behind the knee, usually through a quad; two behind the knee; and one in front of and below the knee. It's likely these cannot be seen in a video within a few months, almost certainly not after ten months. I had a Ulnar nerve release [two inch incision] in early December. The scar is barely observable -- unless someone is looking for it. I'm 65. I expect a sixteen year old, in her prime, would have portals unseeable on video. If there was no additional damage [meniscus, posterior crusciate ligament] it's more than reasonable that she has no noticeable scars and is 100% ten months later.

and played well, looked at or near full speed, doing what she does best, boxing out, lots of rebounds, passing well, picks, setting up teammates, a few scores for herself.

Raegan finished with a team-high 11 points, but perhaps the most impressive aspects of her game were her defense and rebounding. She altered a ton of shots and grabbed a bunch of rebounds. She sets good screens, makes good passes, and moves her feet well on defense. Even guarded the perimeter some. Her conditioning is a little behind, which is to be expected after being forced to sit out this year.

I like how quick she is after a rebound. Easy for her to rebound and immediately start dribbling out to keep the pace. Also, that last play where the other player hit the deck pretty hard, she was right there helping her up. GO BEAVS!!!

So, has Raegan Beers grown another inch to 6'4"...or is this just someone's wishful thinking?

So, has Raegan Beers grown another inch to 6'4"...or is this just someone's wishful thinking? /photo/1 Height is so overrated. Wingspan is much more important, and then it just comes down to how the person plays. Some play "bigger" than their listed height, and some the opposite.

As I recall, when she committed, some said she was 6'3", others said 6'4". If she were a male recruit, it would be 6'7". Who knows? Who cares?

She looks to be a big strong girl. I'm thinking that she is going to play taller than the tape measure says.

If you think 6'4 doesn't matter, tell the poor kid, at 6'2 who is trying to defend her. A 6'4 skilled post player can dominate a 6'2 defender.....And then be neutralized by a 6'4 replacement who takes over for the 6'2 kid.
Obviously skill and talent is the big issue. And wingspan is a issue. But when things are held constant, yes 6'4 rather than 6'3 really does matter. GO BEAVS!!
