Well this is great news! I am really hoping that Beers and Gardiner turn out to be as good as advertised AND that they play all 4 years at OSU. This was not the case with Brown (defensively yes, offensively no, and did not play 4 years at OSU) and Jones (close on O and D, but did not play 4 years at OSU)

This was not the case with Brown (defensively yes, offensively no, and did not play 4 years at OSU) and Jones (close on O and D, but did not play 4 years at OSU) I would probably phrase that as Kennedy wasn't as good offensively as we 'hoped', but other than the fact that she didn't shoot the 3 as good in college, she wasn't a big time scorer in HS (17.2ppg her senior season), and at least I didn't expect her to be a big time scorer in her early years at OSU. Taylor on the other hand had huge offensive numbers in HS and we saw right away in college that her ability to keep the ball high, and shoot around the basket was advanced. Gardiner reminds me a lot of Taya. She does everything well, and I would consider her more skilled than Taya in most areas (maybe not in shooting the 3 and maybe not defensively yet), but obviously less experienced. Tamia hasn't displayed that scorer mentality in HS, and I'm not expecting her to come in right away and be a big time scorer for the Beavs. We should see her team skills immediately. Raegan plays big, and that should bold well for her and the Beavs this coming season. I'm not sure where she will be at offensively, but I hope we'll see her grabbing a lot of boards and playing with muscle around the basket. It should be fun to watch them develop, but it's hard to get overly excited knowing the players may transfer out at any time.

Gardiner looks much quicker than Taya to me; it looks like she has a quicker release, and looks quicker driving with the basketball. Taya had lots of games where she just wasn't able to get shots off; I expect that won't happen near as much with Timea.

Timea had a great supporting cast sharing the points. She really didn’t have to score a lot during her seasons because of not enough competition. However look at the state championship game they lost in over time and she scored 23 points. She can take over when needed. She shot 50% from field and made 2 three pointers
