I think KB reminds me much more of Cox. I think Miss Brown will become a real game changer with her defense before she is done at OSU.

I think KB reminds me much more of Cox. I think Miss Brown will become a real game changer with her defense before she is done at OSU. My post on Taylor's defense was not in any way meant to detract from Kennedys defensive skills. In one of my posts early last season I mentioned that at that time Kennedy was the best defender in the post. However she is a different type of player than either Cox or Taylor. The reason I compared Taylor to Cox was because they are physically similar. Both are 6'4" with exceptionally long arms. While Kennedys skill set last season was more similar than Taylors in respect to Cox's, I believe Taylor in the long haul ultimate makes for a better comparison. Kennedy projects to a 3-4 not a 4-5 at the next level. Cox while filling in could never play the 3. If Kennedy ever get proficient enough to play the 3 remains to be seen, but she is going to certainly work on it. She still has four years to do it. If I would compare Kennedy to anyone it would be Azura Stevens. They are similar in many respects. The main comparison is that the could play posts but prefer to play on the perimeter- Oh and they are both also 6'6". She left UConn early because Geno was trying to play her in the post her last year. |
