Interesting info on Kennedy....My mind is in a bit of a fog as to dates.....When did Kennedy have her surgery - and was it disclosed what surgery she underwent? At any rate, going thru warmups, even at reduced speed, seems encouraging to me.....It's still 7 or 8 weeks before meaningful games..... Nice to hear AA is still a team member.... GO BEAVS!!

I think that the fact that AA is still with the team at practice means that there is still a possibility that she might eventually play. Cal had a player who was diagnosed with a heart condition before her freshman season even began. I believe it was in the summerbefor the start of school. They honored her scholarship and she remainedw with the team. She was not listed on the roster but basically just sat on the bench in regular clothes and acted as an extra coach. Her diagnoses revealed that she would never play again. They knew that right from the beginning. The example of the Cal player seems to imply that AA situation is somewhat different. Other wise they could still honor her scholarship without her ever setting foot on the court, if they felt she would never ever play.
She might never play for the team, but that is not a certainty. The scenario playing itself out seems to imply that the possibility that she might still remains open. The addition of someone of Jelenas skill set makes her playing less of a team need but rather something we might like to see for purely her benefit.
Also I think the addition of the new front line transfers along with the obvious skill set and abilities of Jelena, certainly brings clarity to Patricia Morris decision to transfer out of the program. She still has a ton of upside left so transfering certainly makes sense for a Junior behind on the depth chart to so many underclassmen. She needs to get on the floor to develop and there are certainly many programs that she could step into a starting spot with. We will have to keep track of how she is doing with her new team.

Love the photo of Sasha going up to block a shot at the rim. Sasha has a strong frame for a freshman. So does our grad transfer from the Patriot League. Excited to see them play.

That photo of Sasha is awesome. I have high hopes she can be the type of defender Gabby is. The other big thing I’ve noticed in the photos is this team has so much size it’s amazing.

The Duckies have 6'4", 6'4", 6'5", 6'6", 6'6", and 6'7", so they've got us beat in terms of average size, I think, with Kennedy and Aquino out of action. You could probably count Jones at 6'7" instead of just 6'4" because of her wingspan, of course. For the Ducks, 6'5" is Sabally, and 6'7" is Prince, so there's some high level talent there. I do think we've got most of the other teams in the Pac beat in terms of size, however.

I'm really curious to hear reports on Faustino. IMO, her being able to credibly back up Aleah will be crucial for this to be a special season.

Wow, if OSU WBB get Andrea and Jelena playing this season, coaches will have difficulty finding minutes for everyone! I just hope our guard play is solid this year.

It's available now (not live). A few points: -Rueck covers the idea of Jelena and Jones being on the court at the same time -Jones says Civil War games are the ones she has circled. Basically, things we all want to hear
