Nor should there be riotous violence in the name of racism. Instead there should be violence in the name of peace? ? Tell me that those cops swinging their batons have peace on their minds. As I heard one angry black woman say, we (white America) should be happy that all blacks are asking for is equality and not REVENGE! Let it burn, baby! My little town had a rally for Black Lives Matter, scheduled and announced. Midday. Friday. Business owners were so afraid that they boarded up their businesses—as if any of the other demonstrations through the years had ended in violence or looting—as if any citizen of this small town would allow another person to trash a business in our small community. It got me thinking. Fear. For the first time in their lives, the other side is afraid. Afraid of the anger that has been bottled up for centuries. And that’s a good thing! Be afraid. Racist ideas aren’t welcome anymore. People want you to know that. The line is very clear. Which side are you on? Wow.

All I have to say is the day we don't have police is the day that you don't want to happen.
Maybe some think if the police departments were done away with that we would all join hands and all bad would disappear. Not going to happen.

No one is advocating the elimination of police departments. We are advocating the end to the militarization of our police departments and focusing on community policing instead.

Were dropped from their employment. When that happens I will find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

This is the kind of stuff that police killings come from, oh wait! that's already happening with your blessing no doubt, they deserve it right? Of course if we can get rid of them completely, that would be utopia!! I'll tell you who is afraid, law abiding people and innocent folks that may accidently drive or walk into one of these peaceful protests, and get beat up, or their car totaled, and business owners that are afraid of the village idiots destroying everything that many of them have ever worked for, their lives basically, do they deserve it? I think a great idea would be that all the business owners that have lost everything get to visit the homes, cages, tents of these wonderful peace loving folks and destroy everything they own, only seems fair to me... Tell me those peaceful rioters who are throwing molotov cocktails, bricks, stones, have peace on their minds!!! Frigging Portland looks like war zone, I guess that is the look of progress...."Burn baby burn"!! Get help. you seriously need some..

Chauvin had 18 on his official record. But he was still working. Thao had six against him. The system is broken. What other job could you hold with that kind of record? What is the point of an official record and complaints if they are dismissed regularly? Where is the accountability?

Peaceful protest works when the crowd is unified under one voice, like MLK or Gandhi. But the unification and the peaceful protest follows the angry protest. Right now, we are lacking leadership on both sides. Both sides are antagonistic. People of color are raising their voices for their lives. White people join them in the streets to honor their cry for equality and their hope for systemic change. People around the world march with them. Yes, I don’t like the looting, but the British didn’t really start taking us seriously until we dumped a load of tea into the bay. So I guess it’s in our blood.

Where is the accountability? i hate to even post this, out of fear that you and others will take as defense of him. It’s not! He was way out of line and should be charged as he is. But in cop world, 18 complaints (Minor) in 18 years are not atypical.

Defunding is a moronic term.

You'll call a cop. Except he/she won't show up in a Humvee with a 50 cal Gatling gun.
