Has anyone been able to find any articles that include quotes from Talia? I haven’t come across any yet.

For those of you who have seen Talia compete in person or have seen enough of her via video, is she a point guard who can lead OSU for four years or does her skills set translate better to the 2 at the PAC-12 level? I don't think I've seen enough to give a good opinion from me, and besides, I'm far from an expert. I've seen enough to say she is a great player, but not enough to say she is a true PG. Most observers have referred to her as a wing or guard, so I'll stick with them for now. Once the coaches can comment (after signing day), if they say she can play point, I will feel much better about her being the point. Talia, Greta, and Sasha may be a good enough combo that a true point is not needed, but I'd like still like to see the Beavs land a PG for 2021, if for no other reason, becasue depth is needed.

I agree. I’ve been scarred by the Louisville’s and Bruins that pressed us and we either couldn’t dribble out of pressure or make the right pass and typically turned it over because we didn’t have a great facilitator. Destiny was able to handle that, but who on this team can do that now?

Won't know how Talia will do until she plays against college level competition. But I understand she has won a couple of one on one competitions at camps, so it seems like she's got to have decent handles.
And for next season (if we have one) Aleah's got the same A/T as Destiny so I don't understand the anxiety.

First destiny was the most talented player on the team this last year. Second who is backing up Aleah?

Talia Von Oelhoffen comes from amazing athletic genes. Her mother, Tondi Redden Von Oelhoffen was one of the greatest female athletes in Washington HS history at Kamiakin HS in Richland, where she earned 12 varsity letters. She was inducted into the WIAA Hall of Fame in 2009. In basketball, she was a state champion and HS All-American and lettered 4 years at U of Hawaii, finishing 2nd in the nation in steals as a senior. In HS track, she was National Pentathalon Champion and set the Washington state record in the Heptathlon. In HS volleyball, she was on the All-state team. Details (if this link works): www.wiaa.com/arprint.aspx?ID=364. Talia's dad, Kimo Von Oelhoffen, played 14 years in the NFL on defensive line, winning a Super Bowl Ring with the Steelers in 2005. Big boy at 6-4 299 lbs. He played at Boise State. Just Google his name for details. He runs a construction company in the Tri-Cities area and owns two restaurants there, one named "Kimo's." Check out the 17,000 square foot house, with indoor basketball gym, they once lived in, by Googling "12th MANsion." Talia's older sister Kamri played 2 years at Yakima Community College averaging 18 and 19 points finishing in 2019. I do not know if she is still playing. Talia's older sister Jayln was a star in HS 9 years ahead of Talia. Don't know if she played any college.

" First destiny was the most talented player on the team this last year" Ouch, how soon we forget. Yes, I've already expressed my hope that Rueck finds a back up for Aleah. She can put in a lot of minutes and I don't think she has ever fouled out, but still.
