UCLA has a ban on fans on all sporting events on campus until April 10. Will we see a NCAA tournament with just teams, TV cameras and staff?

I was wondering the same - will they cancel the events, or play in empty stadiums? I haven't seen the latter being used as an option so far ...

Plan for a football season like that. There is even talk about suspending fall sports like football now.
Vaccine might be year and a half out.

No longer a recommendation. Done deal. www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/ncaa-president-mark-emmerts-statement-limiting-attendance-ncaa-eventNCAA President Mark Emmert's statement on limiting attendance at NCAA events March 11, 2020 4:29pm The NCAA continues to assess the impact of COVID-19 in consultation with public health officials and our COVID-19 advisory panel. Based on their advice and my discussions with the NCAA Board of Governors, I have made the decision to conduct our upcoming championship events, including the Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, with only essential staff and limited family attendance. While I understand how disappointing this is for all fans of our sports, my decision is based on the current understanding of how COVID-19 is progressing in the United States. This decision is in the best interest of public health, including that of coaches, administrators, fans and, most importantly, our student-athletes. We recognize the opportunity to compete in an NCAA national championship is an experience of a lifetime for the students and their families. Today, we will move forward and conduct championships consistent with the current information and will continue to monitor and make adjustments as needed.

Some much for homecourt advantage in the tournament Question... is it now a advantage to travel to a court where home fans are not present?? Other than travel I'd still say no, but I think it really affects those lower seeds that are typically rooted for quite loudly. I wonder how much "fudging" each school host gets to do to allow fans in. Like every other aspect of the NCAA I can see some sites being more populated with "family" and "key personnel"?!

If a team wins a National Championship and no one's there to see it did it really happen? That might not be all bad ;-)
