If a team wins a National Championship and no one's there to see it did it really happen? That might not be all bad ;-) Yes. We will be able to watch it on television to verify that it actually happened.

Assuming duckie girls get Portland region, they will be basically playing a home game to...no one. hehe.

Well, in the overall scheme of things why take the risk ? Not the same but ,you can take the stairs at a hotel - or jump into a crowded elevator with a bunch of sweaty, coughing die hard sports fans. We do not have much information because this is a new form of Coronavirus. No-one has all of the answers you need to keep yourself and your family, and extended family safe. I do not want to be reading about, or worse still, be impacted by this 15-20% death sentence if that turns out to be the case. I was a risk taker until I was 20 - now I know better ! I learned through a couple of bad experiences . That's just me - and everyone else has a right to complain and do as they wish, or at least as much is allowed . I was at a store last night, looking for a specific product and this young couple walks by me - with the wife or partner coughing and sneezing like a steam locomotive. Hopefully just a cold, but ? I am more concerned about what this does to actual telecasts, as they are going to have to do some further planning and maybe re-scheduling to satisfy all of the fans at all of the schools ... and, to get kicked off the schedule would be a real b'&$! .

Looks like it's official, NCAA tournament (Men's and Women's) will only allow "essential staff and limited family attendance": www.nydailynews.com/sports/college/ny-ncaa-march-madness-coronavirus-20200311-fqrcpuy3rjbh3fy726o47vkgj4-story.html"All first-round matchups of the tournament will be played in their designated venues, but regional round matchups, the Final Four and the Championship game could be moved to smaller venues in the same cities as they’re already scheduled. The Final Four and Championship games were scheduled to be played at Mercedes Benz Arena in Atlanta."

Maybe the refs won’t be considered essential staff!

Maybe the refs won’t be considered essential staff! Call your own fouls? Works on the playgrounds. Can't be any worse than what we get now, can it?

Are they going to televise all the games?
This is going to hit some of the smaller schools hard when they don't receive as much money as expected.

And the PAC-12 men’s tourney will not allow general fans in starting tomorrow.

Oregon State is now going to either limit attendance to 50 people or cancel events. What a crazy day. So... if our ladies get home games we won't have any fans in attendance?
I haven't verified this but rumor is the NBA season is suspended? Good for the Blazers, maybe they can heal some dudes up and end the season on a high note.

How close do you think it will be adhered to. There will be abuse. This is Uncle Phil, yes he looks just like Mr Knight but honestly is an Uncle. He is essential...eye rolls.
On O-live mens Pac-12 tournament says essential personnel, family and "friends"?
The word friend stuck out unless it was an o-live mistake.
Could a big donor mean friend and is an top athletic director essential over the womens AD and how many others on department staff are essential? If the team arrives at Gill will there be a throng of fans wishing them well when they arrive outside or leave afterwards? Can they play piped in crowd noise, can they play piped in band songs at break? During a time out do you have to whisper to the team so the other team does not over hear the coach? Do you walk on court and start playing or do you still announce the players at introductions?

Roughly 300,000 to 600,000 people worldwide die of the flu each year, with approximately 10% of them in the United States. Yet we don't cancel everything when flu season starts. This is overreaction to the nth degree.
