Back to transfer Raina Perez....I have no idea how much Coach and staff recruited her, but one thing to consider is that its possible Rueck thought she did not have the defensive skills to be a full time player in his program. I do not know if this is true, but knowing Coach, it's sure a possibility. But, it's also possible that slashing point guards just don't see OSU as a program where they can shine.... Shifting gears: Didn't Katie Mac play point guard her Frosh season? GO BEAVS !! I think this is probably a big possibility. If you look at all of the guards/players that OSU is recruiting, the SMALLEST is 5'10. I really think SR doesn't really want the smaller, quicker guards, and wants more combo's in the 6 foot range.

Beavs will have 5 guards/wings on the team next year. Aleah, Jas, Noelle, and 2 incoming freshmen. Plus a 2021 recruit (so far) signed for the following year. I am anticipating Jas to step up, Noelle to give some relief minutes at the point (even a few), as well as some minutes at the point from the freshmen. Our team's offense is going to be built around the front court players. Aleah will get shots if the post players can effectively pass and score among themselves, and, if so, there will be option to pass back out to the perimeter for open 3's. Without knowledge of what our freshmen can do, we still need a player that can penetrate & score or distribute, & a player, or players, that can create their own shot.

If Noelle plays at all in Pac 12 season we are in trouble. We have lots of concerns about Aleah's athletism and how quick guards take her out of games. Noelle makes Aleah look super athletic.

I do believe Jasmine will be better next season. I also believe Sasha is even better than some of us think. I don't believe Noelle can help other than a few minutes in a blowout, and I've not sure how ready Savannah is (hopefully very ready). Maybe she can give us a few minutes. But, as much as I believe in the improvement of Jas, and how good I feel Sasha, and how good I think the front line can be (both Taya and Ellie can handle the ball as well), for this team to be top tier, they could really use another good ball handling guard with some penetrating abilities. I'm sure the coaches feel that way to some extent as well, which is why they are at least keeping an eye on some grad transfer guards. We'll see what happens, but I'll be a little surprised if they don't at least add one more player who can at the very least backup Aleah.

I think it's pretty simple. Rueck doesn't agree with you guys about Goodman. And no one is allowing for Jazz having grown into it. Some kids step up when they're given the ball. With Taya back, TJ with a year experience playing in the toughest conference, Jelena getting on the court, Jazz [The music for her is Carole King's Jazzman] ready to step up, and Aleah with something to prove, and the new kids -- I'm feeling ok about next year. Now, if AA can get cleared ... AA, MIA. hoping, but just don't that ever happening..:-(

That's kind of a strange list. Other than NC State those teams are fairly bad. Is anybody starting to get a little worried that NO PGs want to come play in Corvallis? They could really use another to help out Goodman this year, but what the heck are they going to do in 21-22? Yes, it was a strange list and today Raina Perez picked the only good team on her list, North Carolina State. Too bad for her and too bad for the Beavers that she passed on OSU.

Only problem is they already have 2 5's for next year in the younger Sabally and Prince. I just don't see how this girl ever see's the floor baring injuries.

wbosh15 - the first three things that occurred to me when I read this article: (1) she is a remarkable physical athlete they believe in, and they want to cultivate; (2) she might serve as a good practice player for the other posts on the roster; (3) with 2 to play 2 - what the hell are you doing Graves? GO BEAVS!!

1. She doesn't know Graves from Rueck. "I’ve known about coach Graves and how he develops players with my skillset." Really? 2. Maybe Graves doesn't think Prince will ever see the floor. Given that he started recruiting Wilson all of two weeks ago, it sure sounds like an emergency stop-gap maneuver.

Her JUCO stats were awful, and JUCO competition is awful. I have a tough time seeing her get minutes at the Pac-12 level.

Makes me think Price and Sabally might not be anywhere near fully recovered. Giomi is already pretty limited.
This woman averaged 1.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. She makes Jo Grymek - who was consistently derided by some here for being a limited offensive player - look like Shaq.

If they remain healthy between now and then, Sabally and Prince will both start next season. Position labels aren't that important, but Sabally can be viewed as a forward and Prince the center. With her experience, Lydia Giomi will probably be the primary backup big. That leaves this JC player battling against freshman Kylee Watson (more of a true post player) and freshman Angela Dugalic (more of a skilled/finesse forward) for any remaining backup big minutes.
