Taylor Mikesell from Maryland is yet another player in the portal. Sharp shooting guard. Played PG as a Fr. but mostly off the ball as a soph. Would have 2 year of eligibility left, but not a grad transfer so would have to sit a year unless they go thru w/ the proposal about 1 time immediate eligibility for transfers. The WBB instagram account is now following Mikesell. That would be a sign she is at least interested and a priority.

The WBB instagram account is probably following her because Katie is following Mikesell on twitter. Mikesell is not following Katie though, or any other beaver coach (at the time of this writing).
Mikesell is following Kim Mulkey (Baylor), and Dawn Staley (South Carolina) as well as Texas Tech assistants and head coach, so the competition will be tough.

I see Katie is now following Niya Beverly from University of Wisconsin. #22 rated point guard out of high school, who has had a good, but certainly not sensational college career. Very good passer/assist type player. Not a huge scorer. Has started a ton of games in her three years, so very experienced. Would bring a wealth of experience if the Beavs were to land her.

It would be beneficial to note, if you know if she's a grad transfer or not.

Glove, I don't know if she is a grad transfer. Heck, I don't even know if the Beavs are interested. She has only been at Wisconsin 3 years, starting 73 games. My guess is that she completed her degree in 3 years, but maybe not. I'm not sure the Beavs would be interested unless they were confident she would be a grad transfer or immediately eligible, unless they thought she could help in 2021. Which could be the case since they haven't landed a pg yet for 2021
Niya is known as a quick guard, who plays solid D. Not a very good overall shooter. .333 from 3 last season though, so not that bad. As a comparison last season:
Aleah 29 minutes per game, 8.8 points, 56 TO' Niya 28 minuets per game, 7.8 points, 45 TO's

Read a couple articles about her transfer. Neither mentioned grad transfer, which leads me to believe she is not. Eligibility then becomes one of those iffy matters the NCAA keeps us in suspense about.

Carrington has decided on a final three of UCONN, Baylor, and oregon. Of those three, I think oregon is the best choice for her. Hope she decides otherwise though.

She went to Stanford so she's got to be pretty smart. But these choices would indicate her common sense is not quite so developed.
And Graves saying "sure, come on up". Common sense doesn't seem to be his strong suit either.

The best players want to play with the best and against the best. I am sure most of the top programs in the country wanted her including the Beavers.

The only thing I can figure is that Carrington isn't going to be able to play much due to whatever problem ended her year this past season. So she wants to end her career playing for a Nat. But then why Oregon? They should be good, but they aren't going to be playing for any National Championships.
