Ever watch her defense? Very average, IMO, and below average after she gets her 2nd foul, when it becomes matador, Ole'. Not sure why more teams don't go right at her, especially when she has collected 2 or more fouls. She is very crafty in providing 'help' defense and going for steal or tying the ball up to gain a jump ball posession. All in all, a great player, but just average defensively.

At least 8 of the 15 on that list are not back next year, and McDonald may very well go as well (she's graduated, but undecided).

It was apparent in the Civil War game at Gill that OSU was isolating Pivec on Ionescu in the first half whenever possible. The reason that more teams don't attack Ionescu repeatedly is that Graves can have his team go zone or put Sabally on the opposition's biggest offensive threat with Hebard waiting to help in the paint. Oregon can protect Ionescu from foul trouble plus she is very adept at not accumulating multiple fouls. She recognizes that she can't help her team or accumulate stats from the bench.

Think Brown was ripped off. Our team started her during our undefeated run. She had great defensive and rebounding stats. Our team started our losing trend after she got hurt Rip off for her. Plus her injury could change her life. Would have been fitting for her to receive something this year!dang

One name glaringly absent from All Defensive team. Not even a single HM vote. I guess the demands of being a basketball “icon” doesn’t leave time for playing D. I guess you never have too much on your plate to disparage her. Amazing you find so much amusement? joy? In classless attacks on players. In coaching it's part of the profession, but players just don't deserve it from some anonymous internet poster. As they say... your comments about her are more telling about who your are!

Well, I think the comments are indicative of both of you.

" I guess the demands of being a basketball “icon” doesn’t leave time for playing D." Even weak sarcasm doesn't hide petty/classless/unnecessary comments towards a student athlete. Then again by your own circuitous route... wasn't defending her, just knocking your immaturity. Try focusing on Beavers... on the Beaver board and SI won't have to be in your childish crosshairs! Wow. I apparently struck a nerve. Wasn't my intent.

It was not even an “attack” let alone a “classless attack”. Sabrina will be fine. I’m sure she’s well aware of her limitations.

So it’s difficult to assess the accomplishments of a player whose played 3/4 of a season against all of those who’ve played the full season. While a consolation prize would have been nice for Kennedy, not sure how fair it would have been to any player she displaced who played a full season. Looking forward to seeing KB back on the court in 2020-21. She has a very bright future ahead of her.

I look forward to seeing Kennedy back on the court also..... I have not heard anything specific about the extent of her injury. Is it assumed that she might be able to return to action next season (20/21)?
Or, is it thought she will redshirt next season?? This may have been discussed already, but, if so, I missed it..... If Kennedy sits next year Jelena Mitrovic will be on everyone's mind.... GO BEAVS !!

As for Kennedy, there hasn't been anything from her or the team on a timeline.
Unless it has happened this past week, I don't think she has even had her surgery yet. I know there are a few of us on this board that would like to see her redshirt next year. For me, a couple examples of why I would like to see her redshirt:
Daneesha Provo of Utah who was injured the same day as Kat (January 2019). Daneesha took slightly longer than Kat to get back on the court. Her first few games back she barely made a shot. Here is her stats this season upon her return 6.8 points per game, and .293 shooting percentage. Her stats last year before the injury 13.5pts, and .511 shooting percentage. Even the year before her shooting percentage was .480ish.
Example two is Kat. I won't get in to her stats, but we all know what her game this year was like compared to the last couple years.
I think my point is, getting the knee stronger again, and getting back to where you can play again is one thing, getting your complete game back, and even improving on your game is another. I admire so much all the work Kat has done to get back on the court, but she still hasn't got her game back. That is why I've come to hate the decision by the NCAA of not giving her an extra year. Not only did she miss half a season, she played this year without completely regaining her shot. I feel horrible for her having to end this way, when I think you could fully expect her to have a great season next year if she was allowed another season. Looking back on all that has happened, I wish Kat would have redshirted this season.
We never know what will happen in the future, but based on Daneesha and Kat, I would love to see Kennedy redshirt next year so she can both get stronger, and work on her game. While injured, the players work 10ish months rehabbing, and getting into basketball shape, but have little time to work on improving their game.
