What do you think?
Mik and Destiny for sure.
Taylor on Freshman team for sure. Maybe all conference as well.
Aleah is a maybe (honorable mention??). Also potential to repeat as 6th player.
Kennedy could / should be on the Freshman team.
Anybody else?

I don't think there's any way that many Beavers get All Conference honors. There were a whole bunch of other really good players from the other 11 teams, and OSU did struggle a bit to a 5th place finish. Oregon alone probably had 3 of the top 5 players in the conference, their Big 3 are gonna take up a bunch of slots for All Conference. There's no way Mik and Destiny are both 1st Team All Conference (edited--if 1st Team is 5 players; if it is 10 then maybe). I don't think Brown would've been All Freshman even before she was injured. I gotta think it's Pili and Rogers from USC, Osborne from UCLA, Maxwell from Utah and OSU's Jones. Stanford's Jones would've been in there too but missed too many games. Brown was good, but which of those 6 was she better than? I cannot see Goodman as 6th player. Way too many games she was completely ineffective.
another edit--Goodman started 18 of 30 games this year, I'm not sure how many conference games she started.

There is a way. And I would be very surprised if both Slocum and Pivec are not named to the PAC-12 All-Conference Team. The PAC-12 selects 15 players to its All-Conference Team. First, second, and/or third team are not denoted. Sydney Wiese was named to the All-Conference Team all four of her seasons in Corvallis. Pivec and Slocum will both be named to the PAC-12 All-Conference Team for a second straight year. Slocum is averaging 15.1/2.9/4.8 and shooting 46% from the field while Pivec is averaging 14.9/9.5/4.6 and is shooting 51% from the field. I don't think you can find 15 other players in the conference with stat lines better than those two on winning teams or otherwise. I believe the conference is announcing its awards tomorrow.

In a preseason interview Taylor Jones said that her top goal this season was to win the Freshman POY award..... I am curious to see how this shakes out because, to tell the truth, I don't know how these awards are determined....But, it seems to me she's got a real chance...
It looks like Frosh POY will boil down to USC's Pili & OSU's Jones....Pili has been a warrior on the boards this year, she muscles the paint every game....She scores in traffic....Players bounce off her, not vice-versa..She is a difference maker.
Jones has been brilliant in stretches this year....She has a totally unequaled high release in the paint....She has excellent hands - catches just about everything sent her way and releases it in a hurry...She has developed some impressive back to the basket moves...She can shoot free throws (good, not great) which is essential for a Big who wants to win recognition. I think everyone who knows the game believes she will be a 2 year, perhaps 3 year, All Conference selection.
If someone other than Jones or Pili wins this award it will totally prove I don't know what the hell I'm talking about....🤠 GO BEAVS !!

Funny, I looked this up earlier today. Pili avarages more points, and more rebounds than Taylor, but she also averages 6-7 more minutes per game. If you went by averages per 40 minutes, Taylor would win FOY hands down. Rebounds 12.6 per 40 minutes to 10.5 for Pili. 3.2 blocks per game to 1.2 for Pili, and they both would average 21.1 points per game, with Taylor having a much better shooting percentage.
But.....Pili has played more minutes, so her stats look better, she came on strong late in the season, and won FOW this week. I'm going to guess Pili wins the Pac-12 freshman of the year, although Taylor would have better stats if you just went by minutes played.
No offense to Kennedy, but i don't think she will make the top 5, and I don't see any other players winning awards, other than Mik and Destiny on the all conference team.

Thanks for pointing this out. I concur, Pivec and Slocum should both make a 15 player All Conference team. It's a bit of fun trying to pick the 15, some good and probably deserving players are gonna get left out any way you slice it.

Off topic but sort of related, Taylor Kalmer was Honorable Mention for Mountain West. They name a 10 player All Conference team and she was one of three name HM.

6th player is likely Chavez for the Ducks. She was an effective backup at times.

Chavez has shot very well (43.7%) from distance this year, but averages only 6.4 points per game. Sparty may be right with his prediction about Chavez being 6th Person of the Year, but there doesn't seem to be as clear a favorite for the award this season as Goodman was last season with her double digit scoring.
I can't think of anybody else but Jamie Ruden of Arizona State who comes off the bench and scores consistently. Ruden averages 7.5 points per game. Most everyone else scoring more than that has been starting for their respective teams.

Their teams finished in the bottom half of the standings, but Subasic from WSU and Van Dyke from UW were fairly consistent off the bench. I honestly don't know who the top sub from some of the teams is.
edit--both averaged 8+ ppg and 4+ rpg

Subasic appears to have started 7 games while Van Dyke has started only one. Van Dyke is also among the tops in steals in the conference. Van Dyke may be a very viable candidate along with Ruden and Chavez.

I think we all agree on Mik, Destiny, and Taylor. I think Kennedy was totally on track for the Frosh team, until the injury (as was Hailey Jones.)
Not sure what the criteria is to be considered for 6th player of the year, but let’s assume that the award considers conference stats only and has started less than 1/3 of the conference games. If stats are the drivers then:
Minutes per game – Goodman (OSU) at 28.6, Muira (USC) at 23.8, Van Dyke (Wash) at 23.7, Knight (COLO) at 23.6,
Points per game – Prechtel (Stan) at 8.6, Green (Cal) at 8.6, Goodman (OSU) at 8.4, Crocker (Cal) at 7.8, Chou (UCLA) at 7.5
Rebs per game – Lutje (Cal) at 6.0, Knight (COLO) at 5.7, Horvadt (UCLA) at 5.4, Precthtel (Stan) at 5.3, Walkder (ASU) at 4.8
Assists per game – Goodman (OSU) at 2.6, Mbulito (ASU) at 2.5, Muzet (WSU) at 2.0, Crocker (Cal) at 1.7, Pueyo (UA) at 1.7
Shooting % - Prechtel (Stan) at 47.0, Van Dyke (Wash) at 42.5, no more in top 50
3pt % - Chavez (UO) at 47.8, Goodman (OSU) at 43.2, Moore (Utah) at 38.5, Shelley (UO) at 38.0, Junp (Stan) at 37.7
Not sure how defense or winning factors into the equation. Those would both help Chavez for consideration. Her other stats are not impressive, but I am sure that is because she plays on a team full of stat-stuffers.
Anyway, I think the stats point to either Prechtel or Goodman, but I would not be surprised if Chevez was recognized.

Also consider for Ashten Prechtel (Stanford), 30 blocks and 15 steals. I always want Oregon State to win awards, but Goodman has probably started too many games.
