Mik and Destiny - All-Pac-12 Taylor All-Freshman, Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and All-Defense. Aleah Honorable Mention All-Defense. Seems about right. No complaints about any of those.

Did Arizona's final conference game loss to last place Cal cost Barnes a COY award or would Graves have won it anyway?

Furd is the long time standard bearer, their dominant performances vs them and doing what was expected in the Pac12 was key. New blood takes a while to be accepted. She'll get hers it seems.

The one thing that really jumps out at me--USC's Endiya Rogers wasn't even Honorable Mention for All Freshman team. Wow. I think the committee just flat out forgot about her. 12.8 ppg for the season, upped it to 13.7 in conference. Many of the others chosen weren't starters like she was. That is bizarre to me.

She didn't even receive any votes. I wonder if USC forgot to nominate her or something? Or maybe they decided to go all-in on getting Pilli Freshman of the year? I agree that one is quite odd and I didn't notice it until you mentioned it.

But, is it a self nomination process... and HC is sending a message? FOY is one thing to shoot for, but certainly one of the best frosh can also be on the frosh team!?

Two from Utah and two from Stanford made All Freshman or were Honorable Mention, so obviously more than 1 from each team can be honored.

Conjecture without supporting evidence regarding Frosh POY:
USC may know that Endiya Rogers is planning to transfer out.....Therefore, did not put her name forward.....
More conjecture without evidence: The USC program is so totally screwed up they didn't submit her name.... GO BEAVS !!

One name glaringly absent from All Defensive team. Not even a single HM vote. I guess the demands of being a basketball “icon” doesn’t leave time for playing D.

Finally figured it out though. It's now a super secret between Werebeaver and me.....or should have said between Werebeaver and "I". LOL

She is very good about avoiding foul trouble and that is reflected in that she doesn't try to block shots or leave her feet for fakes. Will be interesting to see how she is able to defend in the WNBA.
