Well I do not like the physicality of many Teams in PAC 12. USC,UA,ASU,UCLA,. That being said we need to learn how to play against it. U of o blew both Teams out while we struggled. Why. Not just injuries, but we play less people and waste a lot of time with offensive sets that often break down or result in turnovers. Wish His criticism was kept in House. Makes us look small. Officiating will not get better in pac 12.

I watched the ASU vs oregon game.It was Roller Derby on hardwood. The women's game is evolving. It is becoming more and more of a physical game.OSU always has trouble against pressure and physicality. If the Beavers want to remain relevant than SR needs to recruit the type of physical players who can stand up to physical play and give as much as they get.Fans may not like it but it is what it is.....

Saying that her team plays physical doesn't sound disrespectful to me. Next time SR should just say they play like a bunch of whimps. Apparently that is what CTT wants to hear.
I do get her complaint though, in this day of 'everything hurting our feelings'. I can say that she is my least favorite coach in the Pac12, but overall her teams have been very good.

This is what is disrespectful - being a 'sore loser'. CTT is a good recruiter and a good coach - that's it - full stop! She is NOT a genius drawing up plays - but she recruits well and gets players that love defense !

"Waste a lot of time with offensive sets" is an astute observation; wastes energy, too, screeningscreeningscreening, seeking the optimum pass/passing up open or near-open shots, communicating and setting up the "little general's" plays. (I deeply respect, admire, and glory in the success of our "little general," but he needs an assistant offensive coordinator to shake it up a bit.)

A very difficult loss for CTT to take for a variety of reasons. ASU continues to hold jerseys, grab, and elbow away from the officials as much as it has done in recent years. It is what they do. They won't change under CTT. So, the Beavs must adapt and attack the extra physical contact. A bully won't change his ways until you defend yourself. The Beavs understand that and will respond to protect themselves.

I just have a hard time with the leeway that program gets , while, we get a foul for being within 5 feet of someone who purposely flops !

She is a decent coach, but has worked 20+ years at one of the conference's "have" schools, has great weather, excellent facilities and a huge metro area to recruit in, and has never won an outright conference title (she has shared two). She should worry about her own team.
ASU has played clutch, bump and grab defense since the moment she became coach. She's lying if she denies it.

CTT: "We don't teach our players to foul."
Very true. She teaches her players how to be as physical as allowed by disguising holds, grabs, and elbows from the officials as much as can be hidden. Nobody in the PAC-12 does it better than ASU.
If the Beavs can match that level of physicality without fouling, then ASU can be beat again if the two teams match up in the PAC-12 Tournament next month.
