Although it's a big miss for the award committee - I will bet that she surpasses every other name on that list with her continued excellence in all areas, as well as her deep care and support of others. She will be the real winner ! Go Mikayla , Go Beavers !

Thats too bad. But I doubt that Mik is doing any of the community work she does for trophies and plaques. She’s touched and inspired a lot of folks in the Corvallis area. That’s what’s important.

In a perfect world, Mik *deserves* to be recognized with an award like the CLASS award, but as our buddy Clint reminds us:
Go Beavers!

At their rebounders meetings they go into what the players are doing off the court.

"Ha... so you follow uck hoops? You follow both of those players personal lives and endeavors?" Oh good grief, take a look at Sabrina and Hebard's resume's. Their qualifications are that they have or are going to graduate and they sign autographs. The comparison is laughable.

I started out thinking that Rueck was doing well at the press conference. As it went along I got to thinking that he really does a great job of breaking down the game and remaining positive usually for both teams. He is really well spoken. Then it came to the end and he asked for one more thing and he read off part of Mik's resume. He got more aggressive as he went along finally calling out the people running the class award. By the time he was finished I acquired a whole new level of respect for the man. He could very well catch flack for it but damn he has those girls backs.

I helpfully found a link where you can contact the Senior CLASS Award staff: www.seniorclassaward.com/contact/I sent them a link to the video, and pointed out that SR seems to be spot on, in asking them to please clarify their "criminal" thought process that led to such a miss...... Others in this forum could also send the interview video link and ask the CLASS staff WTF?Might not make a difference, but I think they should be made aware of how lame they are, and how their award has little to no credibility if someone so deserving isn't part of the finalist pool. Go Beavers!

It’s pretty obvious east coast/central bias. ESPN gives coverage way more coverage to Oregon than Oregon State, so they are more “known” out there. An absolute disgrace if you ask me still though.

A summary of a recent Sabrina Ionescu post game interview: "I, me, I, I, Kobe, I, triple-double, me, me."
