They just got annihilated by Oregon by 32. They went up 1 early in the 3rd quarter, from that point on they were horrendous. What will they look like on Sunday?

Tara gets a day to get her team ready, while Rueck does not. Kinda wipes out the Beav's home court advantage. But we will see soon enough.

I would like to think that home court advantage is worth more than one extra day practice.

It's not just an extra day of practice. It's a day to set your team up based on what you know about another team and then run practice based on that. Did you see Rueck rolling his eye's about that extra day? You think that all of the Pac-12 games being Friday and Sunday just happened to come out that way? Teams just rest and watch films on Sat.

I have been told that Oregon State actually goes through video review as well as participates in a lighter practice that allows them to walk through what is expected of Sunday's opponent on the Saturday between PAC-12 games. My guess is that all PAC-12 WBB teams go through their "scout" on Saturdays and don't overly tax their player's legs, but do spend some time on the court running through defensive sets and opponent/player tendencies. Stanford now has an extra day to do that in preparation for OSU.

I suspect they will come out hard, but probably tight as well. They have not been playing anywhere near their potential a lot this season, and have not found their confidence either. I expect a relatively low-scoring slugfest.

I know it's blasphemy to some here. Maybe ucks are really good at home?
You don't outscore a very good team that badly (51-18) in that amount of time (less than 20 min) without crazy good talent and team work.

Good talent, teamwork, and repeatedly shooting 3's when you have the game already rapped up and out of reach. That's how you get lots of points.

Continuing to play the game for 40 minutes? Yeah, novel concept.
I will say that, unlike some other games, Sabrina was kept in this game much longer than was really necessary (by "much longer" I mean 4 or 5 minutes). Not that there is anything wrong with that......but on the surface, it seemed as if the only real reason to keep her in was to make a possible run at another triple-double. The lead was in the mid 20's around the 6:30 mark, but she stayed in until the 2:21 mark. Regardless, she reminded everyone yet again why she is considered the best player in the conference.

Why is it wrong to put up points.? I hate them too,but they are dangerous and talented. We will have a war with Stanford. We cannot sustain like Oregon can on offense. I wish we could.

This game was pretty close, and when Oregon began to pull a way a bit, and put the pressure on defensively, Stanford just fell apart under the pressure. Had Stanford just kept their composure, they may have hung in there, but they lost it. I don't expect that to happen against the Beavs, and I expect Stanford will play very well.
And, yes, the ducks are very good! And, yes, Sabrina had a very good game. And yet, they are beatable.

Tara knows how to play the beavs. I expect Stanford to throttle us. Hope I am wrong.
