We should be considered a tough out at home too. I think we start clicking from outside and this takes care of Cal and we will get just enough done to take Stanford. Optimistic bias. I will only be attending the Sunday game, so they better make it happen for us !

Sabrina further cemented her legacy with another dominant performance last night. Graves gave her time to score her career high for single game points. As carlosdanger posted above, Sabrina was left in too long last night. However, Graves apparently is willing to accept the low likelihood of an injury to his star player in certain circumstances. Last night was another one of those circumstances.
When Sabrina is in games that are already clearly decided and appears to be left in to simply accumulate more stats and/or complete a triple-double, I cringe every time she hits the floor or takes awkward contact from the opposition. Oregon's chances for a national title disappear if she is injured, so it often surprises me that taking that calculated risk with her minutes is done at all when her team is up 20+ in the fourth quarter.

Sabrina demonstrated to the National WCBB Audience why she is a generation player. What can't Sabrina do on the basketball court? Sabrina is truly an amazing basketball player, and, it takes an entire team, and some darn good defenders to slow down both Sabrina and the Duck team offense. What was impressive was the Duck defense--they really stepped it up. I expect a war in Eugene and Corvallis next weekend. Going to be fun.

"Dribble the basketball consistently without carrying it."
I have given up hope that officials will have the guts to make the carry call at any important moment in a PAC-12 game. It is an accepted part of her game and allows for a very effective hesitation move that is difficult to guard.
More players should adopt that move of hers because it is extremely effective in allowing her to gain separation from defenders. I think that the "Ionescu carry" will be imitated long after she has left the NCAA ranks. At least until it is called regularly on others....

The game wasn't in doubt until the 4th ... things went sideways in a hurry in the 4th for Stanford, somewhat like what Baylor did to UConn.
It does feel like UO and Baylor are the only teams in the country with that extra gear so far ... they just don't always find it.

The game tonight should tell us something. If Beavs can run the offensive effectively, which is predicated on being good from the perimeter, I'll feel much better about the Stanford game. They can play semi-ugly and still beat Cal. Stanford, not so much.

Stanford could really use DiJonai Carrington. Not sure when she'll be back though. Maya Dodson as well.

Dribble the basketball consistently without carrying it. James Harden strenuously objects to your post. Sabrina is getting tweets from Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. Not sure about Harden though.

Wonder if they'll sing "California Here I Come" for her senior day.

My gut tells me we’ll beat Cal just fine but lose to Stanford on Sunday. We’re just not playing that well right now.
Go Beavs!!
