Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout is my favorite thing ever. I bought a 5 gallon burnt oak barrel to facilitate my homebrewing of bourbon barrel aged stouts. I use a real solid chocolate/coffee stout as a base and then age it along side a fifth of quality bourbon.

Now with MLB on apple, is this relevant again or will the pac-12 end up on Amazon prime or paramount+ with star trek?

Without Apple what would android copy? Hahaha, your hilarious. I happily ackwoledge that Apple was innovative in the early hardware space (which has nothing to do with Android, an operating system), and clearly they are industrial design and marketing geniuses. However software is always a place they have lagged. Not that it seems to slow their cult of fan boys (another key Apple skill, religious leadership). Anymore though their innovation's even in the hardware space just can't keep up either, and really haven't for a long time. Not because they are really doing anything wrong, just because there are SOOO many more innovators that can innovate with Android and devices that run Android. That was the danger with keeping everything proprietary, and the ecosystem locked up tighter than fort Knox. And as long as that have the aforementioned Apple Army that will pay exhorbinant prices for Apple products, I guess they were right in that decision. And Android devices won't complain either because rising tides and all. But let's be real after the glory Apple years of the early aughts It's power has mostly been sales and marketing driven, not innovation or technology. In terms of software, one of the annoying (and also great) things about software is it is incredibly hard to protect, patent, copyright, etc. Lots of companies don't even try anymore. It is certainly an insestuous business. But to suggest that Android has copied more from iOS than vice versa is ludicrous. I came here for the football but I heart this. My apple cult snob friends (or basically everyone I know) condescend like no other...which makes it wven more enjoyable when they can't figure some basic s%#t out on theor phone or have to buy something new (which they do like puppets) because everything is proprietary.

Nope, not another dollar of mine goes to crApple. Looking back at this from 5 years ago, sad we didn't have our games on a streaming platform. Some here talk about how we should have been innovative back then to compete. to quote atownbeaver from the other thread "You need to walk before you can run. Something I have said for years now, Pac-12 network should of launched completely independently as a streaming option. $5 a month subscription or similar.... In the todays world of Hulu and Youtube TV and Apple TV and Netflix and Paramount and HBOMax and so on and so forth, Pac-12 could of be an early innovator. Pac-12 could of had nation, global even... reach. Pac-12 could of have the screens and the analytics needed to then negotiate back to carriers for traditional broadcasts." Well, too bad Larry Scott didn't listen.

As long as it's not exclusive, then the more the merrier! I do agree, we should strive to be everywhere so viewers can watch the game with whatever platform and service they have. Would it be bad to have a friday night featured game on Apple+ or Amazon Primeif they paid more? Or do we want to do away with late start times?

Would it be bad to have a friday night featured game on Apple+ or Amazon Primeif they paid more? Or do we want to do away with late start times? I think our survival depends on our creativity now. a lot of the power we could of had in the past is gone. I think streaming is still a thing we need to do, be the early (as much as we can be) innovator of a no-strings attached streaming platform that we work in with a carrier deal. Pac-12 networks goes fully online. We sign with Fox, or ESPN, or CBS to carry X number of prime time games... all the others get streamed. Carriers may even like that because it means there will not be another competing pac-12 game on the Pac-12 network on a carrier provided channel at a similar time. in other options, Like how mid-majors went to Wednesday games occasionally. Maybe the Pac-12 (er...10...) needs to own Fridays? as long as it comes with a national, exclusive, broadcast. I think the east coast would tune in to a compelling Pac-10 match up. The "Pac-12 after dark" honestly became a notorious thing and people dug it. But too little too late. missed opportunity after missed opportunity and now we are playing catch up. But whatever we do, it needs to be different because to be frank, there is NO way on earth we compete with these super conferences. in other news, this whole thread is a blast from the past, wow.

A proud, unapologetic IPA snob, here. Block 15 and Boneyard do it as well (better than most) as anyone. Sipping on a “Sticky Hands” as I post.

Maybe its just me but it sure seems that it would be easier to get viewers with channels already on your tv then to have to beg people to subscribe to a channel.
