Isn't she the player that someone on this board described as the best player out of Idaho since Destiny Slocum? Here we see one more Pac-12 program adding talent to the roster...Last year Utah signed a top Beaver recruit (Kemery Martin)..... They have a ways to go, no doubt about it...Plus, they lost last year's Pac-12 Freshman of the year to transfer. Where she went I do not know!! GO BEAVS !!

The religious community in Utah can be quite intimidating if you are not part of the ‘flock’’. This is a factor in almost everyone’s personal or professional life. Not being critical, however, just pointing out that this ‘may have’ played or will play in player transfers. OSU and all other schools are not immune to players wishing to transfer, however, what you ‘read’ ( not necessarily the real story ), seems to mostly point at playing time and wanting to be a starter. Cannot hold that against any athlete, especially at the levels they are competing, and with an eye on Professional dollars. Scott does an amazing job of giving everyone time on the floor and an opportunity to succeed. I think that everyone in the program understands their ‘role’, and they accept the development plan that is put in front of them. Scott has made OSU a Destination school for the best of the best and they ALL understand that he can raise their game. By the time he is done, he will surpass many of the ‘Legends’ in all of women’s college basketball. Has been a great ride so far! Go Beavs !

Washington picks up a much needed top-100 recruit in Alexis Whitfield, a 6-1 F from Chaminade College Prep; she's ranked #63 in 2020. She is there second commit, as 5-10 G Jayda Noble committed awhile back. They remain in the hunt for top-40 6-2 PF Jordyn Jenkins. 6-8 C Sela Heide also may be considering UW, but not sure. I believe that leaves 38 uncommitted recruits on ESPN's top-100. Neither ESPN nor Prospects Nation shows this commitment on their board. Has something changed?

She’s still committed, sometimes they miss/don’t update stuff immediately.
They also don’t list CA’s Kaitlyn Chen, who committed to Princeton.
Oregon picked up a 2021 commit today, top-25 6-0 G Taylor Bigby. After landing a lot of 2020 guards, not sure how many more they can get.

UCLA picks up yet another international recruit, this time Australian 6-0 G/W Gemma Potter.
Gonzaga also picked up a 5-9 Aussie PG Lily Scanlon.
Stanford is waiting on the decision of Aussie 6-0 W Agnes Emma-Nnopu.

Starting to feel like we are not in as good a shape as originally thought. But, Scott and crew know what they are doing. More disappointed in the AA, Jelena and Kat situations. Hope they all heal up and can contribute ASAP.

I agree with you Shelby, but when you say "we are not in as good a shape as originally thought" I believe it is much more than just a feeling.....
With HVL no longer a Beaver prospect, with DD not giving us any hopeful indicators, with Kat's availability in 20/21 unknown, and with the possibility of Slocum turning pro at the end of this season the Beavs really are not in nearly as good of shape as many of us (including me) thought we were.....
Obviously it's not time to panic. This team is solid, it has depth, and it's good.
I was counting heavily on HLV being a real asset to this team next year.....Her video, and her performance in National level competition made it clear that she is a very special talent. We're not going to see her equal for long time. A coach from Gonzaga who has scouted her told me she was "Destiny on steroids..." - and he meant that totally as a compliment...
At any rate, here we are now about 3 long months away from the first conference weekend....That's a long time in the basketball universe....We still got lots of miles to cover...Lots of whiskey left in this bottle..... GO BEAVS !!

I took this info from Rebkell Forum - - I don't know the ground rules on this...Rebkell is a free website.....Delete if I'm not supposed to do this....
National signing week is Nov. 13-20, and there are six top-10 prospects inside the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100 who are still undecided on their college futures.
W Angel Reese St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Maryland espnW HoopGurlz rank: 2 In the mix: USC, Maryland, Syracuse Prediction: Maryland. It has six players who are currently in the WNBA Finals, and the Terrapins had the fifth-ranked recruiting class in 2019.
PG Caitlin Clark Dowling Catholic, Des Moines, Iowa espnW HoopGurlz rank: 4 In the mix: Iowa, Iowa State, Notre Dame Prediction: Notre Dame. The Irish have had great success in the last few years in landing great guards.
C Kamilla Cardosa Hamilton Heights, Chattanooga, Tennessee espnW HoopGurlz rank: 5 In the mix: Mississippi State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Syracuse Prediction: Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are in the mix each year for an NCAA title and have success recruiting those players from the South.
PG Diamond Johnson Sts. Neumann & Goretti, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania espnW HoopGurlz rank: 6 In the mix: NC State, Boston College, South Carolina, Rutgers, Virginia Prediction: South Carolina. She has a Philly connection with coach Dawn Staley, one of the great point guards in women's basketball with a national title under her belt.
PG Sarah Andrews MacArthur, Irving, Texas espnW HoopGurlz rank: 7 In the mix: Florida State, Texas, Mississippi State, Louisville, Baylor Prediction: Baylor. Andrews is Texas born and bred, and her teammate, Hannah Gusters (espnW HoopGurlz No. 9), is already committed to the defending champion Lady Bears.
G Hailey Van Lith Cashmere, Rock Island, Washington espnW HoopGurlz rank: 8 In the mix: UCLA, Louisville, Oregon, Baylor Prediction: Louisville. The Cardinals had some success in the past with a guard from the Northwest named Shoni Schimmel.

Great information - thanks for that. Would have loved to have seen OSU at least in the 'list'. I am not particularly into the hype behind some of these US girls, but it still seems like there should be some International talents that have potential star quality, as well as the under the radar girls that we could bring in. I don't really know if it has even reached that stage yet - but would love to hear 'something' positive This year we have Destiny, Mikayla and Aleah, as well as Jazz, for three point line and penetration and passing. Next year, we may only have Aleah, but add in Sasha and an older Jasmine .I believe both have been mentioned as being great outside shooters as well as great feeders. Don't really know until competition time. I just love the girls game so much that I would love to see them get those two or three big pieces to push them over the top. Certainly already an elite program, but, just like in Casey's program , you probably have to collect the really big one before you are consistently elite or final four level. That puts you in the best spot to finish things off. So, for someone closer to the program - why does Scott settle on 11 or 12, when he has 15 scholly's available ? I know he respects and develops each athlete to their maximum potential - so playing time may be a part of that. But, it just seems to me that you could load up a little better each season ( especially given the injury bug ), and not be so impacted by a single player going down or a few recruiting let downs. Oh well, as stated above - let's enjoy the ride and relish what we have. Go Beavers !

One thing we haven't brought up for both the 2020 and 2021 seasons is the possibility of a graduate transfer. I have no idea who might be available then, but that option has seemingly solved a problem for Oregon this year.

SR has mentioned several times that he does not want to bring in players he doesn't think will play. The only player he has brought outside of the normal line up of players has been Destiny and that caused Kalmer to transfer. Most coaches would have seen that as a no brainer, but SR admits he had to think about it for a while and talk to Destiny before he offered her a spot. And that's despite the fact that Kalmer fit the least out of all of the players the Beav's have had during SR's time here. SR is not going down Graves path of stacking up players and then waving bye bye if they lose out to someone else. He recruits for a position and then does his best to make sure they can succeed at that position. One of the reasons I'm a big fan of his.

I have no idea who might be available then, but that option has seemingly solved a problem for Oregon this year. Another guard that keeps getting left out of the "what if" type comments is Noelle Mannen. Although she is a walk on, she seems to have some skills. SR bragged about how she went against Destiny and didn't turn it over (PAC 12 Media day videos). She's on the roster, part of the family, maybe we ought to include her more in these "what if" drills.
Go Beavs.
