The schmuck uconn game is there next year and at nike u two years after that. Uconn was here for uncle phil's 80th birthday and he couldn't have his beloved $uck$ get beat.
nike u played Oklahoma Uconn played Michigan state
It was a double header and not a tournament played at matt knight.

So, not being a conspiracy guy, I believe this is a well planned set of strategic moves by the sucks and suck, inc. ( U of Knight ), to 1) Draw interest where it is required ( to attract talent from ‘anywhere’, 2) to cover for Nike payments to Bol Bol and 3) to further the jock sniffer suck fans to elevate their shiny old objects ( Sabrina the flopping hyena and Dana ‘Deliverance’ Banjo plucker ! People think that Beav fans are a little harsh on the suck following. Hel! Yes, look at their comments about the Beavs and the Beav athletes. In my opinion, we are not even close to the cra- they pull. Not to mention the Boregonian. We get ignored and downplayed no matter how we perform. Even in baseball , the feathered nest gets a split with Fresno State and the Oregonian writes it up like no one could possibly EVER accomplish such a feat except the mighty ducks. At the same time, we SWEEP ( yeah, it was Utah ), but we didn’t get one line of type. We also won National championship in men’s racquetball - If that was the ducks , there would be a 15 mile parade of hippies walking from Springfield to Portland carrying National Championship (unused ) flags that have been in storage in Eugene since the beginning of time. Loved also that in ‘choking’ throughout the Final Four game, the Flopper was regaled with highlight of her 4 point play vs the fact that she shot 25% from the floor and went 0-7 from the field. Sort of a’hide the ball’ journalism routine, When the headline should have read ‘ Sabrina Owesyou ‘ Choking isn’t as easy as it looks ! Don’t embarrass the rest of us. How far did we make it in the tournament.

Embarrassed ? Your comment says all I need to know. Closet duck fan goes all out - but only when OSU can be blasted for early tournament exit. NICE ! SI was a real star on the court- poor play in big games, does the 'hey look at me routine' , by storming off the court in a couple of games before the game is final, in one instance. A real role model for aspiring athletes. So, get embarrassed all you wish, I happen to prefer team players and I was quite proud that we split our games with the yucks , and made it as far as we did, given the fact that we had no Center - lost one of the top 3 point shooters in the country and also J. Thropay as a back up. All SI did was to run off 4 other players that could not handle SI's antics or Graves coaching of his nike media darling.

We did not have an "early" exit. We were a No. 4 seed, meaning we should make it to the Sweet 16. We did.

Point being that they might have won it all with the bench support - who knows. But Mallory would have been a great help - just to name one missing piece. Just think if we had Ruth or Marie on the floor this year ? Things would have been quite different - but, Scott probably ( except for tourney issues ), probably did his best coaching job since he has been at OSU. When did we lose our 3 ball expertise ? The minute that Kat was hurt, the competition knew they could go out and aggressively guard the three point line. Kat made everyone better. Aleah had some up and down moments after Kat too - she was getting pressured like never before. Underneath the hoop, we had no one that could rebound and actually hold on to the ball. So, don't worry about the inside and now go out and screw with the three point shooters. By the last few games , no one could get open and everyone was afraid to shoot. Mikayla was doing all the rebounding - the smallest person on the court, besides Destiny.

IMO some of you take the rivalry a bit too seriously, particularly when it comes to demonizing opposing players.

Awe come, you take the demonizin out of a hard-core rivalry, it just ain't the same. (Most of us) understand that there is a difference between rivalry-speak and really being like our rivals

And some have their lips pressed firmly on i's ass and can't give the Beavers any credit. They must not realize that this is an OSU fan site. Continually talking $hit about the women's basketball team. Justifying i's behavior by comparing her to Gary Payton and other male players.

Typically, “few” means “3”. In the final 3 games of the season: Mikala 32 boards, Corosdale 31 boards.

Good point. I thought Corosdale was nearly a rebounding machine toward the end of the season. Her consistent ability to be in good position on the defensive boards and to get a firm grasp on the ball if she touched it was mighty impressive. I expect ever better rebounding returns from her in the next two years.

Yeah, should have used the qualifier 'almost'. Also, I would expect Taya to be in position, Mikayla follows her shots, ends up battling under the basket on virtually every defensive opportunity. The way she plays the game is an abssolute joy to watch. I am going to miss her performance after next year. And, talk about a world class person - she is it! Go Beavers !
