If we're being honest, we're very close to being a perennial powerhouse, but we're not quite there. We just haven't been able yet to land that top 3 recruit that launches us into the realm of regularly signing them - so close, and yet so far. Stanford, for example, got number 1 in 2019, number 3 in 2020, and now number 1 in 2022 - along with others closer to the level we've been able to get thus far. Hasn't happened for us thus far, but I do believe it will. Maybe 2022 if we can can get Gardiner to go with Beers. If they play together at OSU (one may dream at least), they could be known as OSU's "Beer-Gardin".

I could be completely wrong, but I have a good feeling about Gardiner going to the Beavs! She would make a huge impact on our program to say the least.

Colorado will begin playing games on January 25th. Though no mention in this blurb, I believe Beers tore her ACL in April:
Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch): The Eagles' roster features two of the top players in the state as Kindyll Wetta returns for her senior year and Raegan Beers is back for her junior campaign. Wetta averaged 13.2 points per game, and Beers averaged a double-double as she went for 15.5 points and 10.1 rebounds last season. Valor took the top seed in last year's 5A tournament, but lost to Grandview in the state semifinals.
Returning All-State players: Raegan Beers (Valor Christian, 1st team); Lauren Betts (Grandview, 1st team); Payton Muma (Highlands Ranch, 1st team); Addison O'Grady (Grandview, 2nd team); Avery Vansickle (Regis Jesuit, 2nd team); Kindyll Wetta (Valor Christian, 2nd team).
State playoffs for Colorado being on March 9, which would be probably 10-11 months since the injury/surgery (depending on when she got it).

Gardiner missed today's game with, you guessed it, a knee injury. We've done well with 2022s who have knee injuries. Hope it is milder than Adlee's and Raegan's.

I'm posting this tweet from SR mainly so we can talk Timea Gardiner recruiting. A week or so ago, Scott made a similar post and I noticed Timea liked his tweet. I took a look through those who liked today's tweet and noticed Timea's Mom liked this post.
I've been one who says I doubt Timea signs with the Beavs, but I've upped my odds in recent weeks. If I had to guess, and this is purely guess, I'd put Stanford as the likely destination, with the Beavs as second choice. She has very good choices though. It would just be super difficult to turn down Stanford if you had the opportunity.
I've also noticed that Timea and Amari Whiting (2023 recruit) are very good friends. Although both Amari's parents went to BYU, she seems to really like the Beavs as well. Landing Timea may enhance the Beavs chances with Amari.
Recruiting has been quiet lately, so I'll grasp as anything....

Very sparingly is she liking social media posts related to other programs, including Stanford. I really try not to read too much into it, but it’s exciting how much interest she’s expressing in the program. Based off of this alone, it seems that the Beavs could be a favorite, but I would not be shocked if she ends up at Stanford. You also have to remember that Greta and Talia turned down offers from Stanford. It’s not as far fetched as we would think. Hoping we can win her over!

Gardiner getting surgery (likely ACL or knee-related): Yeah, maybe it's a sign...a positive omen (no not the injury itself, which is never a good thing)...Blacklock, Beers, and now Gardiner for 2022!!!!!!!!!!

OSU will not make her list because OSU did not offer but:
I really like her game though. She’s got a lot of upside and will likely end up in the Pac-12.

I’m alright with the beavs not being in her top 6. I’m liking the chances we have with Gardiner and we don’t appear to be in dire need of a true center just yet.

Well, hopefully Basham won't pick the ukies. I might guess Arizona, since she is from there. Side note - she lists modelling as a duel career. A 6'7" model? Seems a bit extreme. Normally 6'2" is about max for height.

Normally 6'2" is about max for height. Agreed- hopefully she’ll pick either Duke or Louisville. Just not the Pac-12 please! In terms of the modeling- you have to remember how many different types of models are out there. I doubt she would be walking the runway or doing too many collaborations with other models, but I could see her excelling with self-portraits and similar work.
