True, that would put a squeeze on, but I don't think there is any doubt they will have a number transfer out of their program over the next two years. It's great to land the kind of talent they have landed, but these women want to play, and when the talent is not spread out, somebody gets left out. As we've seen, even the Beavs are losing players to transfer, but the recent classes of a couple good players per year is a nice balance.
Even without this new extra year rule, the Beavs would have Jelena, Kennedy, Teresa (Ana), Sasha, and Savannah as sophomores next season (if Kennedy redshirted as expected). That's a big class, but at least they are spread out as far as positions on the floor.
I want to see the actual wording on the "extra year" ruling. Depending on the wording, it's a real game changer, and is going to muddy the recruiting waters a bit.

She announced her final list of teams (I think it was/is 8-10 teams) and Oregon State is not on it. Oregon and others are. Why she ruled out OSU? Who knows except probably her family, coaches, and close friends at this point.

On Carleigh, Jennah, and Alyssa I can only find offers from Oregon, and not OSU. You have reason to think the Beav's are interested in them?

I don’t believe Alyssa Crockett has an offer from Oregon, but Carleigh Wenzel, Kennedy Basham, Grace Vanslooten, and Jennah Isai all do. The clear targets are probably Gardiner and one of Braun or Hansford. I just included the others because they have been linked to OSU in the past, and I usually don’t take them off until they have released a top-x list that doesn’t include OSU. But I think it’s unlikely we offer anyone besides those top-3 targets, at least until one of them commit.

I think you're right about Alyssa. I saw a pic of her in an O shirt and conflated that with an offer. Thanks for being so on the top with it all.

Grace Vanslooten cut her list to 10 schools (OSU did not offer):

I guess with Beers they didn't need Grace also?

4 Pac-12 offers......It is interesting how many of the top national players Arizona is working on.... How many they land, is a different issue. But their coach gets her foot into a lot of doors.....I think a lot of young women, and their parents, are impressed with her and what she's selling. I have the feeling Arizona is going to have a roster filled with WBB talent for years to come....
This is not a big "I think Arizona's great" kind of a deal..And, it's certainly no put down on OSU.....But I am impressed with a program that is positioning itself to be a factor in the Top 3 in the Pac.....And a head coach who is moving them in that direction.
Coach Rueck's job gets tougher and tougher every year. GO BEAVS!!

First, Grace Vanslooten is one of my favorite players in the 2022 class. She's the type of player that is successful at Oregon State, so hearing this news is a bit sad for me. At the same time, it may mean the Beavs are feeling good about Timea Gardiner, or it may just mean that the addition of Adlee and Raegan reduced the need for a player like Grace. We'll have to wait and see who else, if anyone, the Beavs land in the 2022 class.
Secondly, I follow Adia Barnes (Arizona) on social media, and she is definitely in on a lot of top talent. There is every reason to believe Arizona will have a very good season this year, which will give them even more inroads in recruiting in the future. Coach Rueck is recruiting higher ranked talent every year, but the rest of the Pac12 is recruiting so well, gaining an advantage is no easy task. UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, and oregon are in on many of the top 50 players from every class, and Arizona State lands a few as well.

Arizona and UCLA seem to be on the cut list for A LOT of the same players.

Carleigh Wenzel announced her top-6: At some point there was definitely a loss of mutual interest between Wenzel and Oregon State, as she appeared to be a top target early.
