If beav74 is correct that the beavs are recruiting Okikola Iriafen, and if she is the player the reliable source thinks is a good possibility of landing, this would be one amazing recruiting class. Personally, I think Okikola would be the best of the three, although they are all amazing. I know there are a lot of 'if's' there, but beav74 has much better connections than most of us, so even if the Okikola isn't the remaining recruit the Beavs are after, it's exciting to know there is someone out there the Beavs may land in this class.
I research recruiting quite a bit, and haven't seen a connection between the Beavs and Okikola, but honestly her recruitment has mostly been conjecture of fans from other schools, without much knowledge of who she is really interested in. Her instagram does have a Bible verse in her profile, which we find often in Beaver recruits.
I do think the Beavs will probably add one more to the 2021 class, so it will be exciting to find out who that 'one more' will be.

The #4 rating for TVO may be a bit high based upon input from several high school coaches who have coached against her, but to have an OSU verbal commit listed on any Top 10 list is a very good thing. One thing is for certain.... She is not shy about hunting her own shot. She will not have to be reminded that you have to shoot often in order to be a prolific scorer.

rmancarl - - Nice find...The Top 10 list brings several things immediately to mind. First, "Damn" on missing out on Peyton V. What an asset she would be to our program. Second: this makes the recruiting of Okikiola Triafen that much more interesting to watch. I don't know a thing about her, but getting her away from UCLA (or even USC) might be tough.... Third: nice to see Talia get such a lofty rating - hope she is completely deserving of it....
The WBB Beavs are one good recruit away from bringing in their best recruiting class in history...So, here's hopin'.......
Very much appreciate those of you who post articles that I might not otherwise find on my own...... GO BEAVS !!

Okikiola Iriafen is just a great player. She would be the one player I would love to see Oregon State land. What a recruiting class this would be if the Beavs were to land her. I fully expect her to sign with Stanford, with UCLA and USC having an outside shot, although she can pretty much go wherever she wants. She reminds me a bit of Rickea Jackson, or Michaela Onyenwere. She's going to be a double-double machine.
I have the upmost respect for beav74, so if this is the name he is hearing from his reliable source, then belive me, I will probably be more excited than anyone. I do believe the Beavs plan to sign one more, and according to beav74's reliable source they feel like they have a good shot at whoever that is. I just think Okikiola is not the target.....again, hope I'm wrong. If it is Okikiola, then wow, that would be an amazing get for the Beavs.

Thanks rmancarl. Watching Olivia Miles is going to be fun for Notre Dame fans. In the video, I noticed how much Olivia Miles effectively distributes the ball. And, she loves that one-hand cross court pass that reminds me so much of Aleah Goodman's passes cross court to an open 3-point shooter. I'm excited to see Aleah run the team next year. She gets better every season. Last season it was Aleah's defense that stood out to me, and, her ability to come back from a 3-point shooting slump and turn it on later in the season. I think she will run the team from the point very well.

From what I’ve heard:
OSU is not in the running for Iriafen. She doesn’t have much of an outside game, and is more of a 5. Very similar to Maya Dodson at Stanford - 6’3”, very athletic, very bouncy, can defend the perimeter, but not enough of an outside game to be a four at OSU. She sure will be a terrific pickup for someone - but it won’t be OSU.
OSU has pushed most of their attention to 2022, and Betts, Beers, and Gardiner are the top-3 targets in the class.

2020-21 season 12 on the roster..... 11 if Kennedy redshirts. 2021-21 season 12 on the roster. (I stand corrected).

Goodman, Corosdale, Mitrovic, Morris, Simmons, Jones, Goforth, Samuel, Mack (9 scholarship players available) Mannion (1 non scholarship available) Brown, Aquino (2 most likey won't play due to injury/illness)
So yes, 12 on the roster, but only 9 scholarship players available, so you were pretty right on. Not a ton of available bodies for 2020-2021.

I think Noelle Mannen will be on a scholarship if she is still on the team.
I don't think Mannion could make the team, it's that damn y chromosome.

With Brown and Aquino likely out for next season and Corosdale, Mitrovic, and Simmons returning to action following surgery, I do think that the OSU coaching staff is hopeful for at least one more contributing player to augment the '20-'21 roster. Oregon just picked up a late addition. I think that OSU does not want to be caught short two seasons in a row.

bhf - I see what you're saying, and to me it makes sense. The Beavs definitely can use another contributing player for the upcoming season. The question is, where do you find one? The player must be good enough to improve upon a team that will be ranked in the top 20 in the country...Getting Mack was a great move.... I don't know how many players of her calibre are available, but I'd guess not many.... I'll be thrilled if Coach can pull one out of his hat - - but don't see that happening....
As I scan the roster, look at the Beavs' total talent pool for the 20/21 season, the more I'm starting to think that Jelena Mitrovic will need to produce in an impressive fashion for the Beavs to have a strong season.... GO BEAVS !!
