I’m cautiously optimistic in regards to von Oelhoffen. She knows she has the opportunity to step in at the PG spot immediately at OSU and contend for championships. She trained a lot with Weisner, went to Italy with Taylor and Kennedy, and has developed a relationship with Greta over the past month or so. She has a lot of familiarity with the program, and it’s the closest to home. I think she and Rueck share a similar vision, and I think that will go a long way.

Unless she has died and it's being covered up by the government, huh, Sparty?

Not much to go on. Probably doesn't mean much if anything, but she has retweeted Greta and Kennedy. I don't see any retweets of Stanford players or coaches.

I'm confident Sparty being sarcastic to make a point. I guess we need the assistance of the "/s" here.

I wish I was optimistic about Talia. She would be a great addition to the program, so I hope you are right. If your three guards/wings are Sasha, Greta, and Talia, you have one solid group!

I think the staff will look to add one more player to this 2021 class. That will bring the active (excluding Andrea) 21-22 roster to 11 scholarship players. It'll be interesting to see what route they take in filling that last spot.

With 2 top 15 espn guard verbals,is there any top girl forwards in espn 100 that might lean our way?

With 2 top 15 espn guard verbals,is there any top girl forwards in espn 100 that might lean our way? At this time, it does not appear there are any top-100 players the staff is focusing on in the class of 2021. If they do add another play, that player is likely to come from the international ranks (unless a name pops up later, a la Savannah). Having two key players already committed, and only looking for one more, the staff gets to be very selective with who they want to fill that last position in terms of position, skill set, etc. Very little gets out about international players recruiting-wise, so it is kind of a wait and see game. 2022 is stacked with power forwards and centers, so the staff may wait until then to find their forwards and post players.

I wonder if the landscape of recruiting changes now and we leave that slot available for portal transfer possibly

Yeah, the one US player that the Beavs seemed to be very interested in, Kimora Jenkins, does not have the Beavs in her final four. I'm guessing that is because the Beavs got the guard they needed when Talia commited. Word is really quiet on any other possible recruits for this year, which is a bit of a surprise as they definitely have room and IMHO, they could still use a ball handling guard.

I really like Anna Gret Asi. She handles and scores the ball really well. She has a quickness and shiftiness to her that OSU could use. Seems to be considering Kansas, Oregon, USF, and others. The thing that is great about Talia, Greta, and Sasha is that they can all play 2-3, and Talia can play the 1 in addition. Opens up for a lot of different lineups. Txell Alarcon is another possibility, but she is more of a 2-3 as well. Not sure we need another one of those in that class.

Certainly her ability to hit the 3 is a trademark of Beaver teams. She wants to play in the US, but it's hard to judge if the Beavs are recruiting her very hard. And I agreee on the 2-3, if anything, I'd like to see the Beavs add another point, or a 3-4 type player.
