I love Daniels game and hate that she is staying in the Pac-12, but not with the Beavs. It will be interesting to see how things for out with this recruiting class for Cal.
As for the Beavs, I'm not discourgaged with this recruiting class. Not to say I wouldn't have loved to land Clark, Bueckers, or Daniels. I like what they have landed so far, and I doubt this is the end of this class (projecting they may also consider a transfer if they don't sign another from high school). Solcum leaving early may be the biggest fear with this currrent class, but I'm pretty confident that both Samuel and Goforth are very nice additions to the 2 guard/wing position. Maybe I'll think about jumping off a cliff if there are no new commits by spring.

Well, it's not unexpected that Daniels chose to go elsewhere, given the number of big/tall players OSU already has. Odd that her (apparent) last school visit was Oregon State earlier this week. Maybe she just wanted to double check on how many bigs the Beavs actually have.  Another 4/5 player was not a high priority. I would have been more surprised if she had picked the Beavs. Word on the Boneyard is that Stanford was her first choice but recent test score results were an issue. Folks are really jumping for joy on the Cal Bears WBB board, after getting their 3rd 5 star post player all in the same week. Heck of a haul for new coach Charmin. |

thanks for posting beaverwbb fan....The info in the article is rather minimalist, but it is re-assuring to know that Goforth is considered such a prize catch..She sounds like her game is custom made for Rueck's system .....
I don't know why, but every time I read about Goforth I think of Katie Williams with more offensive punch...Hope I'm right....
And maybe, just maybe, Goforth's connection with Payton Verhulst pays dividends for the Beavs....Those two would be one helluva combination - and they'd have Brown & Jones as running mates....

It's either that Prospects Nation is a buncha drunks who just put up whatever, or they don't see the 3* as being a 3*.
Go with whatever seems the most fun to you.

They have her as a four-star. There is often a disconnect between the ESPNW and Prospects Nation rankings. You often see prospects rated by Dan Olson (ESPNW) as 5-star are rated by Chris Hansen (PN) as something less, and vice versa. Players who attend PN camps more regularly seem to often merit a higher ranking by PN. When dealing with the subjectivity of player evaluations, opinions will vary. Just like on this message board.... |
