The HVL story is not totally verified, but verified enough for me to believe it....
The addition of point guard walk-on Noelle Mannen now makes more sense and takes on even more meaning - assuming Coach had forewarning on HVL's decision to move away from OSU....
The issue of Slocum turning pro, and Tudor receiving a medical hardship are no longer questions of idle curiosity, they now become key factors in the 20/21 season - a season when our collection of talented Bigs will be reaching maturity and will need premiere guards to take them to the Final Four...Interesting days for Beaver basketball. GO BEAVS !!

One visit remains for Daniels, who is visiting Duke this weekend, and it’ll be either Stanford or Oregon St. I’m hopeful, but not optimistic it’ll be OSU.

I really hope we are able to land DD - I think she would be a great asset for the program....
The Pacific Northwest produced 3 of the top 14 players in the country for 2020...If we lose out on Daniels we'll be 0-3 with that elite trio. Not a good sign. On the other hand, Coach has reached out to the midwest and Texas with good success with the 2019 class, and it looks like he's headed out there for more top players in 2021....If we go 0-3 this year the pressure will be on to sign an incredible class in 2021....
Nevertheless, I'm hoping we will land at least one of the Elite players to come out of the PNW in 2020....When you lose Elite talent to graduation you gotta replace it with Elite talent from recruiting.... GO BEAVS !!

bobbk - - thanks for the update, and thanks for what might be good news for the Beavs....I believe her final official visit was down to OSU & Stanford....Is that correct?
Interesting that she would take her visit on school days.....I'm still hoping we can land her....Not only because she is a player who can help the program but also because she is a National Top 15 player from the Pacific Northwest and I hate to see them get away..... GO BEAVS !!

Just reading this, but not checking. If she's in Corvallis today, I would guess this is an unofficial visit. Did she say? If this is an unofficial visit, it's likely she is holding on to that last official. Oregon State is close enough she can visit on her own dime. I'm just guessing without checking her instagram. You could be totally correct that this is her 5th official.

Took a look at her Instagram. Looks like she took some pics from Gill a little while ago. Unless I hear otherwise, I'm going to guess this is an unofficial. Either way, I hope she enjoys her time. It will be tough to beat the likes of Stanford, Princeton, Duke, and UCLA. I think they better hook her and Mik up, so Mik can show/tell her about the benefits of choosing Oregon State over Stanford.

There were conflicting reports regarding the level of interest Daniels had in OSU, so definitely a good sign to see that she is in Corvallis. Her unique skillset would be welcomed in Corvallis, and she wants a coach who will take advantage of her versatility. Sounds like a good fit!

Angie over at Beaverblitz says the Beavers "are hosting" Daniels......I suppose that means Official Visit..... Info should be dribbling in soon to better clarify what this visit is all about.... GO BEAVS !!

Well 411500, I hope it is an official, and that it is more than just "today" as mentioned by Angie. If it is, she must be so busy on weekends that she doesn't have any available for an official. I still tend to believe this is an unoffical, but it really doesn't matter either way. What matters is that she enjoys it so much that Oregon State is the school she wants to attend, these are the coaches she wants to have, and these are the teammates she wants. Go Beavs!

Dalayah Daniels committed to Cal. Honestly, I never thought DD made sense on the roster. It’s hard to get a top 20 player to come and perhaps 3rd string at their position as a freshman. You never say no to talent, but I never thought DD would be a Beav.

You never say no to talent, but I never thought DD would be a Beav. There is also the academic piece that the Beavs didn’t have that Daniels was looking for. Next year’s roster currently sits at 11 scholarship players. That number is assuming Slocum returns, including Andrea, and assuming Kat does not. Obviously a lot of wiggle room there.

In other news, finally a profile for Savannah Samuel on HoopGurlz: www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/240306She is listed as a 6-1 G and the evaluations are intriguing, worth a look. I had always thought of her as more of a wing (on her club team), but appears she is and projects as more of a long, athletic guard. It’ll be fun to watch her develop, she has the athleticism we haven’t had the past few years.
