And you just can't help yourself! Graymans post was about being impressed with the talent replacing what we lost, which was significant. You don't read well do you? He reads just fine.

You don't read well do you? I should probly not engage with you. It's pointless. But, your arrogance is irritating. Yet you try! And, if "arrogance" is calling out negative BS, you should be irritated.

I'm still waiting to hear what Waylon said. It was a metaphor. In the song Honky Tonk Hero’s he sang that there was one in every crowd. But then why was it always turnin’ out to be me? Here I offhandedly used the line as an indicator of Grayman’s staunch insistance to point out the negatives while ignoring the positives, which in my opinion and obviously rgeorge’s that there are many. Which is fine! It’s a free country. It just seems to ME that the more good news we get, the more Grayman goes back to the negatives, which seem to have ended sometime ago. Again fine! But I believe it is the minority view, hence the line. There’s one in every crowd. Maybe I’ll try to figure out a song where there is a happy medium in there somewhere. Probably more applicable.

There has been a lot of great additions but I think they are close to if not already full. I’m sure we’ll have more defections after spring tho. Might be missing out on some of the Washington and Arizona players if so.

Not jumping in to this debate about better recruiting..but Im guessing Bray is hard selling the opportunity to play/start immediately. JS was somewhat hamstrung since OSU has had good depth and many returning starters the past few years.
Certainly thrilled with the guys Bray is bringing in. Hope he can land a stud TE and poach one or two others from Washington and Arizona.

Can't we all just get along? Lost some guys, gained some guys. f%#* the leavers, let's win some games.

Bray and his staff may be better recruiters than Smith & Co. It's early, but there's definitely been a bump in quality kids committing to OSU. Just getting started. As I hypothesized before... I think Smith is on the spectrum a bit. based on his speaking dictation and his knack for "coach speaking" and some other stuff. I think he got a lot of guys because he could legitimately sell them Xs and Os and a strategy. He could pragmatically get guys. But I don't think he was ever the type of coach that was going to walk into a hot recruits room and win them. He doesn't have a magnetic personality. He doesn't really connect at that level. He, legitimately, doesn't relate because he can't. his brain doesn't work that way. He could maybe fake it at an intellectual level, but he could never feel it. But I think Bray and crew are guys that really relate. that can SELL. They can have true empathy and connection. I think players liked and respected Smith, when he was here... but I think they would run through brick walls for Bray and that is a big difference. Heyward has the same vibe. We are currently recruiting way out of our assumed station.

We are currently recruiting way out of our assumed station. I think you are right on Bray 's ability to connect. I also think there's kids that are believing him when he says ‘We have a great opportunity to take this program to a place it hasn’t been’ (from Eggers' article a couple days back). He doesn't come across as a "coach speak" salesman, at least in interviews, and that probably plays well with a good number of kids. We're certainly on a bit of a run with previously 4 star ranked transfer portal kids right now, something might be different beyond just the offer of playing time.
