. . . Congratulate Beaver Nation on their National Championship.
The way it happened was about as bitter as it could have been; everyone knows how baseball's version of "life and death" was in the balance at the end of Wednesday's game. Yes, the baseball Gods were smiling on them in that instant. But to their credit, OSU took advantage of the last second reprieve to step up and capture an improbable win.
Thursday, however, was all OSU. There can be speculation on why that was, but it really doesn't matter. The Beavers dominated that game and are deserving National Champions. It will be interesting to see if that was a one-off miracle for Abel, or it he's a great pitcher in MLB. He sure looked the part yesterday.
Again, congratulations.
I wish I could buy you a beer or 6. I hope if you ever encounter beaver fans, they leave you with the same impression you've left us with.

The CWS was the first time o had watched OSU play all year, you guys were the cream of the Crop. I knew after game one against us that you had the better team we got all the breaks and good pitching from Knight.
Enjoy your Baseball at OSU, as long as you have Casey Recruiting and calling the shots, you will be a Dominate force to deal with. Congratulations on a great Season and even greater World Series Championship.

We definitely know how lucky we are to have Casey, in our orange colored glasses, he is the greatest coach. He built a program from the ground up at a school that has a lot going against it. The Pacific northwet has very rainy springs and most years summer doesn't start until well after the season is over. I hope to see the hawgs in Omaha next year, maybe a rematch in the finals.

I will always agree that Pat is the best, but coach Riley kept the baseball team going and made the playoffs a few times and sent guys to the pros, in the face of institutional indifference of the worst kind. Pat didn't build from the ground up, he built from a foundation of bedrock chiseled out by Coach Riley and co.

Coach Riley won 5 Pac 10 northern division championships in his 22 years here, and won a heck of a lot of games here. Casey inherited a pretty decent program and a decade later took it to new heights.

I heard this week that Scott Carnahan (Linfield) turned down the job before they got to Casey The pull of Ad at Linfield is hard to explain but is absolutely there. And the athletic culture is one of a kind. Scott had a big role in building the athletic facilities

Your team battled and scrapped, you should be proud of them! Arkansas has a great young core and will be tough next year. Arkansas will not likely have the success of this season next year. The pitching staff will be young and inexperienced although as usual there are some promising freshmen that could have started for a lot of teams as freshmen this year. I think 11 players went drafted and all but a couple are going. Arkansas will actually in all likelyhood only return 3 fielders. This picture below is the only thing Razorback fans will remember forever. Half of us won't even remember who we played. All we will remember is that we platter served another team up with a national championship trophy. Carson Shaddy was the best player on your team. Beavers owe him a thank you. We'll take it anyway we can get it has never rang louder. Just being real> Actually, another way to digest this is; with the walks, HBP, and Texas leaguer's (hogs hardly squared anything up) Arkansas was very fortunate to have the chance to win. The missed pop was just giving the Beavers their chance at fortune. Edit... forgot to mention other beaver blunders outside pitching that added to Arkansas' fortune as well.
