uggh. Grenier should be on base. He fouled off a sure ball there when it was 3-1. Not looking like the beaver's day.

Nate seems to have great respect on this board, some because he won some mythical award. Funny, that like most is highly political and based on talent/results without any true insight or knowledge to development or the ability to realistically compare to other coaches.
Abel began to shift his balance point, lose consistency in his delivery in the 4th. Got away with it as it is SC.
Nate and the others can see when he begins to flail also. My consistent, and I know incessant, complaint is that guys like Abel are never allowed to finish on a positive. Always trying to stretch guys out even though their history has proven not to!
We all have heard the definition of insanity yet Nate continues down the same path with game 3 of each series. By now game 3s should be a starter getting 4-5 innings... MAX... being closely watched. Then "staff" the next 4 innings. There are 6-7 other arms that could have been utilized and developed early on.
Now OSU doesn't have a 3rd starter or a pen. PC is right, short in the pen, but not because of missing bodies... missing development.

Goold ol too late Nate. Definitely will be his legacy. Add the fact we don't bunt with Kwan up to move Casey to third with one out and once again the coaching staff is our biggest detractor. Not a good year for the Beaver coaches. Time for Casey to consider a different third base coach. Perhaps Nate's 2 NPCOY awards will balance out his hurt feelings by your post. Kwan is hitting >.500 during his streak. Why not get 2 chances to score a run. And Jenkins? What has he done today? Yesterday Nobach stopped on a run sign at 3B. Not on Andy Yes... because we all know those awards are indepth studies of what Nate actually does! Good for him. How do they help in development? How are they assisting this team at this point?

Beavers are running out of gas after a long week. This isn't on one player or coach. Maybe someone can get them a round of cuppuccinos in the dugout..

How about a little cutoff man work. That's twice this game cutoff wasn't where he should have been. Fundementals.

Some coming during their summers. Believe it, or not, Nate isn't the only influence on OSU's pitchers and their development.

How are they assisting this team at this point? I would guess it is based on the body of work last year. I "think" it was the lowest ERA in the nation last year. That ought to put him in the conversation. He had the Jimmy & Joes last year. This year he's just got Jimmy. It's been a few years but I really like Nate's webisodes and how he was working with the pitchers. That is my only evaluation of his coaching acumen. Full disclosure I did call for Nate to pull Fehmel mid game. Fehmel worked his way out of it. It's part of being a sideline nancy cbeavs1 has a hard on for Andy Jenkins. Aune would call him a negative nelly.

He's certainly a bigger influence, being around the players longer than those summer coaches.

This is about as bad as I have seen them play all year. Larnach and Clutchman have done absolutely nothing the who series and again our 3rd day pitcher fails as does two relievers. When the game was scoreless we had several opportunites to bunt them over and didn't. Very frustrating and occurring at a bad time of year.
