How do you kill time with the bases empty? Can't step off the mound and throw over 5 times. You typically have a "injury" sign... after the HR the next pitch goes to the backstop... Britton faints arm, ankle, etc soreness. Coach gets a freebie visit. Pitcher gets a couple tosses. Again Britton pitching to the next hitter with catcher visits during wasn't any worse than bringing in Abel cold. Not only is Abel not ready/cold, he's on tenuous ground with his confidence to begin with. You want to start putting him in positions to have success, not unprepared. An injury sign? I think Casey has a little more class than that. You can save that for your beer league manager job. Catcher visits are fine, but faking injuries is “Busch” league. |

I take it the right fielder fielded before Kwan touched third. Always hold if that happens, no matter how fast the runner is. Even if it was Jacoby at second.
