Shuffleboard on ice. Give me a break. Like we’re really supposed to respect these beer-leaguers as “athletes”.
Might as as well have darts or video games in the Olympics.

Maybe. But cat curling? A whole different ball game!

My family had an orange cat who must have loved speed skating. He just sat in front of the TV and stared at it while the race was on.

Perhaps you're just not watching the right curlers: Yowza!

Shuffleboard is tougher. Once you let the puck go there is nothing you can do about it. No sweepers down range.

Other day at work, we were trying to figure out what events one could adequately pull off with 6-9 months of intensive training. Skiing/Snowboard - I'd break something quickly. Moguls - my knee would explode. Downhill - I'd fly into the crowd or just eat it in general. Halfpipe -> broken neck or back. Ski Jumping - hell no. Speed Skating? Maybe the short race. Figure Skating? Broken ankle in less than 20 seconds after attempting my first jump. Biathlon - that might be doable actually. Cross country ski and shoot at targets. Just seems really tiring, but not like any bones would snap. Luge - you just lay there - which I'm good at, but one wrong move and you fly off the track and die. Hard pass. Bobsled- seems like if Jamaica can field a team, then me and 3 of my buddies could - though at the same time, someone has to steer and make sure we don't die. Another pass. So then after looking at these guys, it's got to be curling. This looks like this could be an overdressed bowling team or the sales staff at an automotive parts store. I'm sure the guy on the far right ordered a new alternator for me once.

I've been enjoying watching the curling so far. First time, I've ever spent more than 2 minutes watching and it's kind of addicting.

It's pretty much shuffleboard, which I love, but on ice and with no beer. If you could drink beer while curling I may start my training regimen for 2022 today !!

I’ve tried curling and it is WAY harder than you think. It’s like golf on ice. Anyone can golf, but you can’t pick up a nine iron one day and be on the PGA Tour in six months.
It’s also super fun. If you live in the Portland area, check out Evergreen Curling Club. They offer learn to curl sessions from time to time.

I'm just saying you don't have to be in any kind of condition to do it. Kind of like WSOP or American Idol.
