Hoping that's wrong since I thought he was a gray shirt?? I was thinking of the new QB JuCo offer Colleta... Garcia enrolled on 6/2016; grey for 2016 season (I think), was eligible to play in 2017 like Wallace (I think) but Left team the 4th day of fall camp... He may have 3 to play 3?

Seems like if Kyle Kempt can use the Coach run off rule to get back an extra year (well, we will see if he is successful), then Isaac should be able to use it too... Shouldn't matter that QA ran him off from OSU, and now that QA is gone Isaac is coming back...

I'm not questioning your breakdown but some quick clarification is needed on whether he was enrolled or taking a greyshirt. Can't greyshirt unless he is not enrolled anywhere as a full time student. Can take part-time classes to be enrolled but can't be on schollie, on a greyshirt you are on your own dime. Greyshirt really just means delayed enrollee, means they haven't started their NCAA eligibility clock yet. Once it starts, it doesn't stop (with few exceptions like missions etc).

He never participated in practice, for reasons unclear. Garcia himself said it was not due to academics, but it was never clarified as to why. I can only assume it was some CGA horses%#t reason or another. All that aside, he is officially back on the roster and can practice this spring and fall. Garcia was one of the few "gets" of the Andersen era. lets hope he lives up to his potential under coaches that know how to coach.

There are very few situations where a student athlete is eligible to enroll for school but not participate. Wallace fit into that category, but he also attended the BRIDGE program, whereas Garcia did not. So I do think he delayed enrolling until winter quarter, which means his clock didn't start ticking until mid-year so he has only lost one season of eligibility and he should indeed be 4x4. If I'm wrong and he did get enrolled and 16 was a RS year then he burned a year of eligibility sitting out and he would now be 3x3.

Rumor has it that the micromanaging ways of Anderpants' staff chafed Garcia badly enough to precipitate his departure. So while he was one of the few gets of the Andersen Era, he belongs in kind of the same category as Kempt, DelRio, Mullaney, McMaryion, Mageo and all the other top-level (and badly needed) talent that was run out of here.

Garcia is officially a CJS "get". If those with the "hate Riley" tampon up their arse thought there should be little if any MR talk, it should truly apply to GAG and his false regime.
EVERY player I've run into at hoops games and in Corvallis, even those who liked GAG, are thrilled to be starting over. The best comment was something to the effect... we had plenty of talent being wasted and they're ready to get their opportunities and be given a fair shake.
