Keep defending this poor excuse of a coach who has put together the worst scoring average team in a very weak Pac-12 and guess what? When the rest of the conference tide rises, our program is going to drown. I am fine with giving a coach four years. Tinkle has had that and so far this customer is not satisfied. Argue with me all you want but you won't change my mind. Badly played basketball makes me sick and this edition of Beaver hoops rates with the flu that is running around these days. So i guess you won't be watching the games and posting about them on here anymore?

Starters minutes....38, 37, 34, 33 and Berger with 18......7 bench points
ASU 27 bench points
Coach maybe could do a better job managing minutes so fatigue wouldn't be an issue.

According to the Pac 12, Cal has the worst scoring average for the full season behind us. There's a few behind us in scoring for the league season. If you want to focus on scoring, you might as well give credit where credit is due. They have the best defensive points average allowed both for the full season and for the league games, and it's by multiple points. Overall they're in the middle of the league for scoring margin.

I'm pro-Tinkle but I do agree with this. If Big G had not hurt his calf he could spell Eubanks a little more. I'd like to see a few more minutes out of Hollins and Berger. Tres could get a blow each half and maybe have a bit more left in the tank at the end of the game. Stevie T's game has got so much better the last month he's getting harder to rest. But I still would like to see Stacy spelling him each half.

This is per Ken Pom. For conference games, the offense rankings are UCLA, Ariz, USC, Utah, Stanford, ASU, Oregon, OSU, WSU, Colorado, Washington and California. Defensive rankings: OSU, Washington, USC, Stanford, Colorado, Ariz, UCLA, WSU, Oregon, ASU, Cal, Utah.

Funny, those that argue my point only point out starters or the "dad" effect. Player development is a team wide process. Our depth, player development, and allocation of minutes is far below where it should be.

For him this weekend, I think it was more of a mobility issue than a skill issue. By the end of last year he was valuable and I'd like to see him there again. Against ASU, I thought Kone could have played the 5 for a few minutes. (or is 5 point guard? the only number I'm sure of is 3)

Hollins, Big G, Kone, Zach, Stacy all need to be getting more minutes. Spot minutes here and there and using timeouts to get starters under the 32-34 min is a big deal for this season and keeping kids happy.

No matter what happens this season or the next few seasons, Tinkle's success will always be masked by the fact that great (coach family) players have been handed right to him.
