So.... if Reid wasn't the guy to be playing Center who was?
Eubanks? Gomis was hurt, Ndiye? Easy to pick on the choice looking backwards but we were in a tuff spot with injuries, youth and foul trouble.
My issue is that the referee's didn't seem to want to slow down, look at the video to get calls right. There was the GP II Shot Clock violation that may have hit the rim, but no video review. The play after the Reid Trip, the Utah kid didn't establish himself in bounds to get the rebound... no call from Nunez on the baseline. If you want to be a Div 1 official, you can't miss that call and if you did miss it you should stop the game, review the video and wave off the basket the kids scored after getting the rebound.
It wasn't just the foul discrepancy or being a human... they made no attempt to get the calls they could review right. Still, no excuse for the tripping but these refs do need to be graded on there performance.... I give it a "D" at best.

I totally agree w/ your post. As to answering your question: Reid is not, nor EVER has been a center. So it can't be him. Especially in a close, hard fought conference road game when we're already getting screwed. There were three other better options: As I had stated N'Diaye was already doing a very effective job of closing down the middle in the 2nd half. He didn't need to come out in the first place. If he did, Eubanks had a nice first half, especially making a few shots. (Btw, If Reid has to be in, it needs to be on the wing....not in the middle). If the two I said aren't getting it done, Big G is a much more viable defensive option w/ his size, than Reid has ever been on D in the middle.

Jarmal has learned a tough lesson about the modern world. He made front pages from ESPN to Deadspin to Reddit, something sports marketers can hardly dream of accomplishing. He's also provided the first thing that the casual fan will think of when it comes to OSU Basketball this year. It could take a Sweet 16 run to change that.
WT and GP have been positive faces of the program all season - a lot of work ahead to put things back together.

Hear what you're saying but at the same time - we live in world of very short news cycle attention spans. The next biggest story ever in sports will come out in a few days. then the next one.. then the next one. It feels like a big deal because it's our player, our team, but from the outside, it's a role player on a middle of the pack D1 basketball team. I would quickly forget about a kid at say.. Wake Forest or Seton Hall doing the same thing. Best thing he can do is own it (sounds like he has), serve his 4 games then just put his head down/mouth shut and play ball. Will be especially important on the road from here on out...

It was a bad, heat of the moment decision, but even regionally I haven't seen a bunch of Duck fans (or anyone else) seizing on it as program-defining. Just win, baby. Oh, and hey all. I'm new here. First post.
