But, man did he have the look of a QB... pocket presence... great arm strength... 4.6 per carry when needed. 😉

Ya no turnovers, he sucks. I would much rather have pick and fumble 6's from Luton since he "looks the part" and is a "vocal" leader.

Apparently Virgil has been getting the bulk of the starters reps the last three weeks, but that may change during their bye week. Tedford' answer when asked if there might be a QB change was - We'll talk about that in a week. So who knows what he's thinking.

True dat Fresneck is playing a brutal schedule right now. From what I see, Virgil is doing about the best any QB could in that position with those opponents. Don't see 3M doing any better nor do I see him replacing Virgil barring an injury.

As a QB... that logic take away Nall's 4 best he's what 14 for 35 or so? It's why the keep ypc and for a QB anything in the +column is a win for a passing offense.

I like Luton. He's going to be really good.

That has nothing to do with Luton's game, which is fine.

Ok.... back to reality. Those of us who thought Marcus should be the starter didn't expect us to beat UW (road or home), win the North, win the PAC 12 or the Nat. championship. We just thought he deserved to start the season as our guy. Looking back.... maybe we should have moved him to defense.

We just thought he deserved to start the season as our guy. Looking back.... maybe we should have moved him to defense. There's a chance 3M starts a good chunk of the rest of the season for Fresneck. Virgil has had 7 months or so to digest Tedford's playbook, 3M will have had a month soon. The next two games will probably be the decision point for Tedford. The thing to see, if 3M gets the starting nod, is does he improve as the season progresses. There are several of us who had thought that was the case once he got the starts at OSU while others appeared not to have improved. Some would argue that a good player given a chance and repetition will improve, it seems some apparently argue that any player who gets a chance, without practice and repetition, is as good as they're going to ever be and if they don't perform at a high level day one they're a lost cause.

Not a stat guy, however I'm pretty sure Luton's stats vs McMaryion really are not comparable anymore..

Not a stat guy, however I'm pretty sure Luton's stats vs McMaryion really are not comparable anymore.. Luton seemed to be improving game by game as well. I'm hoping he can recover and continue playing at some point. Comparing the stats between the two is sort of an apples and oranges situation. I'm thinking they're both potentially just fine quarterbacks, it's sad both of them seemed to have had plenty of detractors.
