amen seastape it is crystal clear that GA is in way over his head and it was really stupid to give a contract extension to someone who only had a couple of good seasons at a weak conference. Duh! People got all enamored with "wisconsin" as if the name itself was some kind of endorsement.

there is an abundance of red flags around everything. But the QB position and its failures is the poster child of the failure of Anderpants. Step back and think about it. We have had a new QB every 4.5 games. what has me FIRMLY in the fire him now and move on camp is that he continues to say "we have a proven process, we don't need to change" and "we will make a few minor tweaks, but we won't do anything drastic" It just sells me on the notion he can't see the forest for the trees, he cannot admit he is blowing it with these decisions, he cannot admit he needs other people to do it. Barring injury or unforeseen issue, this is a year that SHOULD of had a QB in the 3rd season of an offense that he now knows like the back of his hand (El Dio, or hell even Seth Collins... or whatever other QB you identified to grow with...) this we should be enjoying a Junior or Senior leader in a resurgent season with some key pieces like strong running backs and a good blend of veteran and and new talent WRs... But we don't have it. We have yet another QB learning an offense, making late decisions and inaccurate balls because our Genius-in-chief Gary Anderpants decided a JC transfer QB that demonstrated questionable ball handling and decision making in the passing game was a better call than returning experience. Just like he decided halfway through 2015 to bench his true freshman QB and kick him out of the position. I am not saying Collins was "the answer" but hell, he gave him zero change to develop and improve as well... All of it stinks. all of it shows rash decisions, lack of thought, lack of deep consideration. All of it is knee jerk reaction thinking. Then there is the defense... One reason I am an advocate of firing Andersen as quick as possible, and certainly no later than by the end of the season, is timing.
He gets fired after the WSU game...we have a bye week in which to get the interim coach going for the rest of the season.
If we have to hang on until the end of the season: We should get it done this year because of the small recruiting class that we are expected to sign. As I understand it, these are the remaining seniors:
Thomas Tyner Xavier Hawkins Garretson Landry Payne Villamin Trevorris Johnson Jaylynn Bailey Kyle White Porebski Wesley Payne Philip Napoleon Paisa Savea Titus Failuga Baker Pritchard
It should be a small recruiting class this year. Every year that a new coach is brought in there is always the specter of a poor recruiting class because the new staff comes in so late in the recruiting cycle. This could be the best year for it: A small class is expected, and the disadvantage that a new coach will have in recruiting can be masked by the small size of the new class.
And...Good Lord! please recruit some DLs!! Pronto!!
We will not have a "small" class this year. Not only do you not have all of the Seniors listed, but we have also lost a few other players already (McMaryion being one) and will surely lose a few others to either academics or injury retirements before next year (not to mention possible defections whether this staff or another is in place). No matter who is recruiting for 2018, I'd expect us to have 20-25 scholarships available. SaveSave

We have an outright mutiny potential if you ask me. Maybe not Lavonda Wagner bad... but bad. If nothing changes. I would expect a large quantity of transfers in the off season. If we get beat down bad in Pullman... the word is expect "changes" during the bye week. That could entail a lot or nothing of consequence... not sure I want to see the beat down as I'll be there in person?! Now watch this clown figure out how to coach in one week and beat WSU.
I tried my best to be a company man and put on a fake shiny smile. I still want OSU to win for the kids sake, they don't deserve this. One decision. One simple decision. All of this isn't happening. At least that's my obvious opinion. Just roll with it and build on that momentum. Nah, I got a better idea, I think it might work.
Anderpants...awesome.

On one hand it would signal great academics, on the other it might signal kids want out. As it is, it would be interesting to compare the number of medical retirements we've been seeing lately compared to the past and other teams

thats so specific. "Changes". That's your word? Or is it your undercover agent's word. That's spy vs Spy stuff right there. Well... let's say there have been meetings "up on high". Was not told if it was admin/staff... admin/boosters... or combo. But, the message board here is comparatively tame to some other people I guess!! That's all I got... and being I'm comletely unsure what that emtails if anything... that's all I got!! I didn't realize OSU had any boosters with that kind of influence, outside of the Reser family of course...If what you are hearing/saying is true, perhaps that's the glimmer of hope we need.

I'm sure we have several who THINK they have that kind of influence. I personally don't think there are unless they were also large contributors to the $billion+ "building" fund. It's third-hand info although from a long time athletic dept employee. Stuff is not status quo is for sure.

Let's see if I have this straight. - There have been meetings
- People were at these meetings
- These people might be boosters, but then again they might not
- These people are mad
This is so specious it belongs in a message board hall of fame, or deserves it's own hashtag.

The info is vague enough that it could be regarding asst coach changes, or something totally unrelated to boosters.

#thatssobaseba1111 Yep... and from the same employee who said 3M and family were unhappy... and don't be surprised if he left. I'm a "big boy" and took that rash of criticism for those posts early on. It's a message board... some chose to relay info they see pertinent. So just as many have relayed 2nd hand info on the locker room climate that I'm sure is accurate to some degree. I chose to relay this... with no insinuation or wild guess of what was actually going on. #censoryourownposts #MYOFB 😊

CGA's comments lately seem to be laying the groundwork for possible assistant shakeups. I wouldn't be surprised if any rumors floating around the athletic dept about major "changes" were along those lines...
(Not that it would do any good, sigh....)

Ed Ray hired an ad because he was buddies with Anderson. There is zero chance he is fired before late November 2018

That's my armchair theory.. and not exactly a hot take: We don't have the stockpile of cash to fire him, so in an effort to appease boosters and fans & in general to keep the wolves at bay for a little longer, some assistant coaches are sent packing or given new titles. Has this ever worked? Paging Wilky?

Lol... "vagueness" always finds its way to accuracy! But, also why I don't post more complete info. I assume every "peon" in the athletic department isn't privy to specifics, but are to the "generalities" of what's going on.
