I can't wait for the presser to post. One of my favorite things is trying to unravel his verbal gymnastics.

I didn't hear it, MBA. What cost him your vote? Let me guess; the buck didn't stop at his desk?

Talk is cheap when you're losing. I don't care what he says.

Yeah, just listened to his press conference and he put the blame on himself and the coaches as a whole. Said he believes in this team, the kids, and will not give up on them.

The actual "big ask" is your posts actually having a connection to those you quote! Listening myself doesn't solve the inequity of a coach taking the blame yet with still believing in his team. More so, his team still believing in the staff or its the player's fault and he still believes in them. Please try to keep up. My back and shoulders get tired of always carrying you. 😉

I truly do not hear any "taking the blame" here? In fact later on he actually implied that the player's were at fault... they were prepared and ready to play... no excuses... they need to be men and step up? Huh... Is what was from media session the same as on Joe Beaver? "Coach Gary Andersen refuses to make excuses and will not let his players settle following the team’s 58-27 loss to the Colorado State Rams on Saturday. Andersen spoke to the media Monday morning and was adamant that his team was prepared for their game on Saturday. “I expect them to respond and be ready just like they were ready to play last week” Andersen said. “It’s game one. It was one game and it’s over with. We’re 0-1. There’s going to be good days and bad days. This is the real world. It’s not pretend. I expect them to bounce back tonight with a wonderful practice. Be energetic. I expect them to never forget the Colorado State loss ever in their life, because I won't.” In his third year as the Beavers head coach, Andersen is looking to be an edgier head coach and refuses to let his players make excuses for their play against the Rams. “We need to be even a bit more edgy then we’ve been in the past,” Andersen said. “Am I? Hell yeah I am. I’m more edgy and I’m not going to stop. I’m not going to stop pushing them. I’m not going to stop expecting them to carry themselves at high level. I refuse to let them make excuse. We’re past all that. It’s a bunch of b.s. I won’t stand for that and I won’t settle for it. They need to be men and step up.” As the Beavers move forward from the loss, Coach Andersen has a clear message to his team. “I believe in this team,” Andersen said. “I’ll continue to believe in them. They should continue to believe in themselves. They can learn a lot from that tape, obviously. Did it go the way we wanted it to go? No. I also told them, we’re going to remain aggressive. I’m never going to quit on them. I’m always going to believe they can win. I’m always going to keep fighting.” The Beavers struggled to get their run game going against the Rams. Andersen credited Colorado State’s defense with stopping the Beavers run game. “Colorado State did a fantastic job of taking away what we do in our core,” Andersen said. “The run game was not good enough by our standards. Credit goes where credit is due to Colorado State and those kids and the way they played. We need to adjust the scheme and be able to be more proactive and handle that.” Andersen believed the offensive line’s protection of quarterback Jake Luton was a bright spot out of the Beavers loss. “I thought the offensive line protected him very well,” Andersen said. “We got the ball out on time and the receivers were running the crisp routes. There were times when you looked at that and it was a better, very settling feeling of those kids throwing the ball, moving around, and executing the right way. I believe they felt like they were in a pretty great spot thus you had some successes. Late, it became more of a battle. Overall, the protection was much improved from where it was a year ago.” Andersen realizes the expectation from Beavers fans and the frustration and he appreciates it. He looks forward to playing Portland State this weekend at home in front of fans. “The expectation level is to have a football team that goes out and wins football games,” Andersen said. “I love our fans for that. They understand where we are. They understand that this is a process. It is a grinder of a process but I think they know they have good kids that are going to compete their tails off and fight for them.” The Beavers will face Portland State at home on Saturday at Reser Stadium. Kick-off is set for 11 AM." PS- never heard a fan EVER mention we don't have "good kids". Players are not responsible for coaching and their decisions.

I get tired of the word "process." Like, "opportunity," "synergy," "expectations," "yuge....." Over-used. Tiresome. Lazy. Thoughtless. Easy. Cheap. Yeah....I'm in a s%#tty mood. Sue me.

No question about it. Got to come out and play with your hair on fire. Guess it kind of depends on if you're winning or losing, doesn't it? Ha ha

Of course I'm sure you were too busy hanging out with all your player friends getting the real inside info. I was in Fort Collins this weekend - were you staying at the team hotel again?
