So I'm listening to the game and it sounds like Rutchman made another great play.
I've never really paid attention to catchers when I'm watching games on TV, but he keeps doing things that force me to take notice.

I have a good idea...why don't the Beavers swing the bat? The strike zone is really stretched off the plate. Start swinging early because the umpire is calling strikes on balls there is no way anyone can put into play after the batter gets two strikes.

This will have to do. Home plate ump with a little showboat in em. He's calling the outside (the strike zone) pitch.Hurts us because our hitters have a good sense for what is a strike and what is outside

Fehmel isn't getting the same strike zone. That is not good. If the umpire calls it both ways that would be fine. Giving a different strike zone for each pitcher is ridiculous.

This ump is all over the place. That edge is in, that other edge isn't. Oh wait, the first edge isn't in. I swear Fehmel put it over 1/3 of the plate. No strike
