Hello
I am an LSU fan, and I come in peace. I learned about this website from one of our sports forums. I would like to invite OSU fans to join the best LSU sports message board. I am not a representative of the website, only a member. Seeing how both of our teams are on their way to Omaha, I believe it would be a good opportunity to better understand each other's ball clubs. Many of our posters have great respect for OSU's baseball club, and what your guys have been able to accomplish. If anybody is interested in a good natured conversation and debate, check out TigerDroppings.com We are large in number, and yes, there will be a few idiots beating their chests, but the vast majority of us enjoy passionate discussion of our favorite teams. We deeply appreciate and respect those brave souls willing to come in and have a chat.
Again, that's TigerDroppings.com The forum name is Tiger Rant
I hope to see some of you there!!
Sincerely, TheArrogantCorndog

TheArrogantJambalaya made me laugh... I should have thought of that... the corndog name comes from other fan bases saying our mix of Cajun food and bourbon makes us smell like corndogs... after fighting it, some of us began to accept it... heck, sometimes I actually think I'm a corndog (if I'm drunk enough) And yea, I think we all wish we could nake that trip to Omaha

The Beavers have Outstanding pitching, defense, and the offense has really come on of late. In TD Ameritrade, the long ball is not something the park gives up easily, and the Beavers are built for that kind of environment. They have outstanding speed, no break in the lineup where the opposing pitcher can relax, and a defense that is lockdown when the game is on the line. Also many high round draft picks this year and the next, there are always lots of scouts around this team.
The one thing this team hasn't done this year is blink before the other guys do, and as you can see by the record, they always manage to find a way to win. You have no idea how many times they have had us all reaching for defibrillators before some sort of walk-off hit or walk or a called 3rd strike with the bases loaded to end the game. Their plate approach is "hit the ball where it is pitched, and they strike out less times than any other team I have ever seen. Also, great counter punchers - a team will score and the Beavs come right back and put a crooked number up on the board. Just a bit of off the cuff stuff for ya, I am sure that others will punch in numbers.

Just a bit of off the cuff stuff for ya, I am sure that others will punch in numbers. I feel as though our teams are quite similar. We have 3 great pitchers and a deep pen. Our hitting 1-9 is very solid. One thing our fanbase got upset about was the lack of power from some of our players. Our coach took us kicking and screaming away from the gorilla ball days into more of a doubles type hitter. Yes Deichman can hit the ball very hard, but as you said, TD doesn't give up homeruns very easily. Our defense is one of the best in the nation statistically. I feel if OSU were in the SEC, they would certainly be a top 4 team. However, I do feel as though we played tougher competetion all year long, which puts us at a competitive edge over most programs. That being said, only losing 4 games in today's college baseball, is insane. Y'all have something special that is recognized and respected around the country.

Either our pitcher throws a 3-2 strike to end the game or our catcher swings at a bouncing strike 3 wild pitch to end the game. We are not picky.

Sincerely, TheArrogantCorndog Welcome. I will say that my friends who made trip to Baton Rouge and Death Valley told me that hospitality that they experienced there was as gracious as anything they've seen - even with 90,000 rabid fans there supporting the Tigers, you managed to be great hosts. LSU has a rich history of good baseball and the Beavers have easily had the best program in the west consistently over the last dozen years, as well as one of the top programs in the nation. The three teams that went to Omaha from 2005-07 - the last two winning it all - may have had a bit more star power, but this group is deep, strong, motivated, and just might be the best TEAM that I've seen for a while. It's 25 guys that take turns picking each other up, and they just don't get rattled. It's a treat to watch! Omaha should have some great moments. I wish that the Beavs and Tigers were on opposite sides of the bracket and could meet for the NC. One thing is certain: You have to earn your way to the CWS, and everyone there can beat you. Beaver fans are appreciative, excited and confident as we make our 5th trip there in the last dozen (OK, Baker's dozen) years, but we're also grounded enough to know that nothing is certain. Let the games begin, and good luck (except if and when we play each other of course!)

I know this is late, but I would like to point out that our Admin team created a place where other fans are welcome to trash talk as much as possible... X-rated banter is quite welcome and enjoyable... I admire the modz here for keeping things how they see fit i.e. ponchovilla... but please understand, on TigerDroppings, pretty much anything goes (except nudes)... beware all who enter... thick skin is required, but at the end of the day, it's all in good fun

"I feel if OSU were in the SEC, they would certainly be a top 4 team." BARTENDER, I'll have what that guy is drinking!
Somehow I think #1 nationally trumps top 4 sec
Go Beavs!!
