Win or lose... you lose. Emotions are too raw and unprocessed. If the Beavs lose the regional without using Luke H - that's not the end of the world. Plus, this team has the capability of winning it without using him.
The pressure on him has to be enormous regardless - wouldn't be realistic to think he isn't affected by it.
GO BEAVS

I'll trust Pat Casey to make the decision (since that's what he's paid to do).

I think it would be best to wait another 24 hours and maybe start him on Saturday. It still feels pretty raw right now.

Sure, just how I'd argue that if you win, you win.

Why would anyone think Luke would start tonight on short rest after he pitched last Saturday? Jake started last Friday and it makes most sense for him to start this Friday on regular rest, so we shouldn't read into it anything but that.

One would think that because Kerry Eggers' tweet said that yesterday.

I stand with Pat Casey. I also Stand with Luke. this may not be popular I am not a fan of his actions and ofcourse my heart goes out to the victim. If this knowledge did not exist #westandwithluke would be on everyone's posts. This kid has given his all for this team and as a fan of both OSU and Second chances for those that work to be better I stand with Luke.

I'll trust Pat Casey to make the decision (since that's what he's paid to do). I trust Ed Ray to make the right decision (since that's what he's paid to do) and that includes what decisions he leaves up to Scott Barnes and Pat Casey.

Just heard from my dad via an Athletic Department source that Luke is indeed starting tonight. So barring a last minute change of heart from Pat Casey, looks like things are about to get a little awkward. Go Beavs, I guess? Was already thinking of muting ESPN tonight anyway thanks to the Vandy whistler, I guess this clinches it.

In my mind this has to mean that Casey and the administration new about this beforehand and are confident in there decision to bring Luke into the school and team.

I agree. This implies that we knew of this from the gecko.

Just now on ESPN2 They broke into the Davidson vs Texas AM game and said Luke will not start tonight and did bring up the story!

Exactly. Of course they knew about it beforehand. And of course ER acted in accordance with OSU and DoE guidelines, and of course PC acted according to the principles he has consistently espoused. They have been acting with integrity, and it is because good men like Ed and Pat exist that redemption for boys like the 15-year-old Luke is possible.
