So if I'm reading the above link right, his eligibility to play begins as of a year after the date he dropped out of NCU and started going to community college? I was wondering how he managed to possibly play this year after reading he played at NCU last year.

I saw where he redshirted his first year at NCU. He played this last season (witness the game vs UO where he scored 11 points and was highly praised for how he matched up vs their bigs). Does that mean he would be a soph at OSU this year? Would be great if we had him for 3 years.

The article says 2+ years. That's the confusing part. I'm wondering if he left before winter term started and he's eligible here come winter term?

If you get your AA degree, maybe that makes you immediately eligible? Just wondering out loud.

Dam ArticleOregon State Basketball earns a commit from 7’1 Center, Kylor Kelley "He should have three years to play three seasons at Oregon State, and represents a boost to the Beavers’ frontcourt depth going into next year as a possible partner-in-the-paint for Gligorije Rakocevic and Eubanks."

Haven't heard anything about Kylor in quite a while and no mention or sight of him as BBall nears... so I assume he was an academic casualty??
Any chance he still gets on the team?

His twitter account has nothing about Oregon State on it. I thought his mini-bio up at the top once mentioned he was an OSU commit. But now it just only mentions "Lane 7'1" college hooper" as to clues what his plans are

Interesting update on Kelley: JucoRecruiting.com ( Twitter) tweeted October 4th that "Kylor Kelley (7'1, PF/C, 2018) of Lane Community College (OR) has set an official visit with Oregon State for October 14th" So Kelley verballed this summer, then must've withdrawn his commitment, only to have Tinkle still recruit him?

When this all came up I'm pretty sure it was said that he would have two to three years of eligibility. I assume three was hopeful, he may have had more academics to catch up on this summer than could reasonably happen. I'm still curious to see if he's trying to get it all done this term to be eligible in January, I don't know how mid-year admissions work.

Here's his full statement since some of it was cutoff. He's got work to do:
I decommitted this summer to make sure OSU was truly the right place for me, now I know in my heart it truly is. Committed to 🏀OSU @beavermbb this weekend on my visit. But now it's time to get it done in the classroom. I wanna thank the Beaver coaching staff for giving me this opportunity to continue to play the sport I love🙏🏼 and my mother for her endless support and love through this process❤️I must first finish my year at lane community college so I may play next year 📚 pics from a little photo shoot
